Yes we called Taiwan (republic of China), and it’s okay for you to say that we’re other China, since it’s hard for the foreigners to totally understand the complex history of Taiwan, and to understand the transformation of our national identity during these decades. However, most Taiwanese(80% above ) think we are just Taiwanese, not Chinese.(while 9% of the people here think they’re both Taiwanese and Chinese) It’s quite a political issue and also about the personal identity. To me, I think my country is called Taiwan. So hope you understand most of us don’t like the name China~ But it really doesn’t bother, I like your video and am happy that you visit this beautiful country. Hope you both enjoy your trip in Taiwan❤

You probably didn’t like the ice cream due to cilantro. I don’t like cilantro so I ask for it not to be added. I think you’ll like it more bc the peanuts are freshly shaved so it’s very fragrant. There are many foreigners that like it and I think it’s bc they also like cilantro. The town jiufen is illustrated in the spirited away movie. The artist actually drew the town based on what he saw in Taiwan.

You can tell Taiwanese from Chinese. The former are polite and well-mannered. The latter are rude, loud, offensive, uncouth. In Taiwan there are not cameras every few feet. In China, they’re line sand on the beach.
Please respect the culture and norms of the country that you’re visiting. Call it Taiwan, not “other China”. That is ignorant and insensitive.

I rarely dislike a video ever on CZcams but this has to get a big thumbs down. Taiwan is Taiwan and China is China. Two separate lands and cultures. Don't compare Taiwan to China or reference Taiwan as being a Chinese Overdose. Educate yourselfs and don't insult Taiwanese people with your naive view of what this beautiful country is. If you do read this comment maybe think about the title of the video and description as both are insulting to Taiwanese people and lovers from afar.

The actual history of Taiwan is really the old China. China had a revolution led by Mao ze Dong and they won. So the old Chinese govt, republic of China, fled to Taiwan. In both histories (China and republic of China) there is the reunification of China. From Taiwan’s point of view, Taiwan is going to reunite the people’s republic of China with Republic of China. However the Chinese govt kept referring to the same reunification as present day people’s republic of China to take back Taiwan. The person that said to reunify China, is the one that fled to Taiwan so the Chinese govt have been mistaken and continue to feed the same mistake to its citizens.
