Pro tip for high mountain backcountry:
Bring a children's winter sled with you for the haul out. Gets a little hung up on rocks here and there but if you choose your path carefully you can drag a pretty large animal down hill quite a ways with little to no effort.
First I love this channel and everything it stands for and represents. I idolize these men for what they do but also the manner in which it’s done. Having said that I can tell ya that most hunters aren’t lucky enough to bag the “ big one” every time they go out. I’m positive that 90% of viewers have shot a doe, or a yew or a smaller buck at some point during a hunt . At the end of the day we are hunters and having meat beats not having meat. Even if it’s not a trophy. I don’t watch for the trophies. I love what these guys do. They have my utmost respect and admiration. 👍👍

Merry Christmas Tim! Just finished watching this one. We live in West Texas, and yes, the private ownership is a thorn in my side for sure. We used to live out west where public land, Elk, and Mule deer were the norm. Unfortunatly texas does not have much public land, and where there is some, it isn't like hunting out west. I love the country, but wish there was more area to roam!

Great filming! Im from West Texas a little town named Terlingua and aoudad are all around the in the mountains. Awesome animal to hunt. Ive been getting into bow hunting and thinking of taking the challenge of spotting and stalking one down with my bow. Good luck on your next hunt.

yes ,those guys are talking about hunting Terlingua,,,I ,and over 6000 people all own anything from a stamp size lot of 5 acres to a few thousand acres,,but the entire area of Terlingua Ranch is on private property ,even the roads are owned by us ,,we own 1100 miles of roads,,and pay a property owners fee every year to maintain the roads,,,,get a burr under our saddle when groups from Houston come in on dirt bikes and race throughout the ranch ,,and when it comes to hunters ,theres a couple of guys who own thousand acre tracts or so that alow hunting for a fee,,but for the most part ,if you are in a place like he is, and looking out over a vast area,you might be looking at hundreds of diffent peoples property ,,so that's the run of south west texas hunting and the problem old Trumps goong to have when it comes time to build a wall,,,one private owner after another ,
