Softail Standard historically has been a one paint color only model to keep the price down. It will be interesting to see if it is offered in black as an upcharge.
@@briankoons2266 Dont need to own one to know what we like or dont like. Evo was the last of an era where carb motors reigned. Then over head cams and fuel systems etc came into being. Thus a Brit bike or what have you. Being a smart ass to someone who clearly knows what they want and like shows your immaturity.
Nice bike. And lookin good dude Lost some weight. Been watching your Vids from California for about 2 years now. Ill get a bike one day. Thanks for all the sneak peaks, reviews and insights. Keep em coming.
Badass ride. I really like the grey,it's different from the usual black. Good choice from Harley to offer the standard with the grey. It's different. I'm not crazy about the apes, but that's the thing about Harleys, you can customize the hell out of them. This bike is perfect for that.
Billiard grey goes with the mag wheels. That bike is badass. Still prefer spoke wheels but kinda digging that grey. Awesome bike and the price is right.
IMHO that is one beautiful motorcycle. Harley made this gray the base color so they have made a great choice again. Harley-Davidson continues to make great looking and performing bikes. The bike is around $15K, wow that’s not much for what you’re getting.
To me the billiard gray looks better than the vivid black, it highlights the bike. I'd also keep the stock exhaust, loud exhausts give me headaches. Cool bike.
All I heard him say was all the things that needed to be added for it to be a cool bike. If you can’t be happy with it off the showroom floor the price of the customizations may exceed why you bought it in the first place. Maybe an another model is more appropriate. The Softail Standard starts at a reasonable price point but I don’t think adding thousands of dollars in upgrades is worth it. I would buy a different model. The Gray and Red Rock are boring for 2024. HD has always been know for their nice paint. Not sure why they took this direction other than cost savings.
In the 1980's we painted that some color primer on our trucks and cars with fancy wheels and tires. Is Harley really going for that vibe? Only 35 years late.😂
The bike is an absolute time machine.. like back to the future.. technology that not even India or China is using on new bikes.. suspension from 20,30 years ago and air cooling so you can feel all your lost horsepower on your sizzling body..an absolute mystery how this company stays in business..
Chicks dig Harleys. That's one of the reasons. I have a FXLRS 117 and 4 other Japanese techno jets and my Harley commands respect. Totally different ride that I actually prefer.
Glad I got the 2023 in Black... shes getting the 119 C.I. Screamin Eagle stage 3 upgrade and should on the dyno to finish by next week. yYou can not go wrong for a harley to customize with the FXST. HAD MY DEALER PUT AN ALUMINUM INTAKE MANIFOLD & DRAG BARS BEFORE TAKING HER OFF THE DEALER FLOOR.
IMHO that is one ugly motorcycle. Harley made this grey the base color so they have an excuse to charge extra for black. As much as I love Harley-Davidson, the Indian Chief is a much better-looking, better performing bike for the same money. This bike should be $12K NOT $15K.
Harley has really lost something since 2017. I don't see anything on the showroom floor that temps me to trade mine in. Seems like Harley just gets more expensive and uglier every year.
I know exactly what you mean. I traded my Dyna in for a 2020 Lowrider, rode it for a year, then went back to a Dyna. The newer stuff definitely lost that rowdy vibe that I love.
Let me guess: black is an upgrade?$?$?$

Yes
I personally don't mind since the Standard finally gets another color and if you want a black one just get a prior year model
I prefer the old FXST (Evo and TC) , on the new ones you can clearly see the cost cutting!

Diggin the Billiard Grey! Throw some forwards and a good seat on and WHAM! 🔥
It is fukn ugly
Is the price discounted due to the bike being in primer?

The rocker covers, timing cover and transmission are brushed aluminum, not chrome.

Can you get this with laced wheels?
Troppo bella. FANTASTICA. !!
Thank you for calling it a primer gray and not trying to dress it up to be anything other than what it really is, a primer.
This bike okay for a 6'3 / 190cm (34" inseam) rider?

Shiny primer gray.
Good job
Would love to see it with the color matched Quarter fairing. Thx
Spend the extra $ and get the FXLRS 117. Badass bike with exhaust and tune. Rattles the neighbor's dentures and chicks dig 'em.
I just don't get it! How is HD selling Softail Standard Cruiser without cruise control and not installing a USB port leaving just an empty hole? 🤔
yeah the mag wheels make the bike. .i really liked the ones that were on the heritage too that got discontinued..
Just like the other bland colors, from Harley lately, that blend in with the scenery. Prefer to label this color " turn in front of me gray" !
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Under coat grey.

Harley has really failed to impress me lately. Im eyeballing indian for my next bike. They've been making some beautiful machines.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Small tank looks silly on that frame

That primer gray was popular in the 1980's as well with every high school kid that couldn't afford a paint job, myself included

Harley needs to stop Dickin around and go back to a 5 gal tank, and how about upgrading to LED lights all around as well.. just saying 🤷
It looked better in black, battleship gray isn't my thing.

So now you get primer as a base color. Holy Cow we have moved the needle the wrong way!!!!
@@carlbruhn1772hey, it’s primer with clear coat! LOL. 2 in 1 Bassani will void…..your…..warranty.
@@RealSuperRando I suppose it's better than sanded bare metal with clear coat.
Love it, I really wish they would get rid of that big 1 logo on the Street Bob
All new? Lol
Can't stand the wheels, much prefer the spokes. Also the red logo clashes with the grey (and black models). Nice bike otherwise
WAYYYY OVER PRICED

Uhh, no interest here.
Come on Harley you can do better that this. That bike is just plain and ugly.
It's Still a POSER PUTT, Does it come with a little leather vest 😂😂😂. Everyone wants to be a 1%er
