Pretty much all the Izubuchi redesigns from 0080 are my favorite iterations of their respective MS, from the Z'Gok E to the Zaku FZ, the Rick Dom II, GM Command and Sniper II, and the Gelgoog Jaeger, they all do such a wonderful job updating these old venerable designs to look far more proportional, intimidating and badass. The Rick Dom II having an actual neck, the Z'Gok E having long buff arms with shoulder armor and a smaller sloped head, the Gelgoog Jaeger having a smaller more angular head and dropping the "hot pants" for more traditional skirt armor, the GM Command even has a fucking ODST visor, like come on how could that not be my favorite bog standard GM. I honestly wish they stayed with these designs as how these MS would look moving forward instead of making them distinct variants, cause I just outright prefer these designs in every aspect from other GMs, Zakus, etc.
I would really love to see you do a Mobile Armor review series. Some of those designs are really cool and interesting to me especially the more obscure ones. That would be a series I would love to watch
I always interpreted the Z'Gok-E's launchers were like the Zaku Mariner's SubRoc gun: primarily meant to be used underwater, but could still be used for shore bombardment. Hence why they're rockets rather than conventional torpedoes.
So for a variant, the ram zgok is a nice idea but lets make it slightly better with the beam guns able to be beam sabers(ala zeta gundam). With them being directly powered by the generator, it would be a very decent weapon against other beam sabers used by the federation as with its high output it could cut through them(gp02 against full vernian or crossbone gundam). For more of a decent upgrade, let's have it sort of like the gashia with the backpack missles, but mount either some rockets from the doms bazooka(360mm compared to the 240mm) or some sturm faust warheads where the missles would be as their cost effectiveness would probably exceed said missles. Also, add the flasher of the dom in order to guickly cause chaos while it also functions as a scattering beam for saturation attacks/close range. Add some more disposable items to the ram zgok claws like a missle bay(to hit enemies at its sides like ew heavyarms igel or to carpet bomb a target) or a mounted kampfer shotgun/zaku machinegun to reduce stress on the reactor. But thats my 2 cents, hope to hear your thoughts on such a concept ive mentioned here sloth cakes.
@slothcakes Maybe name it as the full assault zgok? It being Zeons(futile) attempt to distract federation forces focus between earth and space by having the zgok e in full prodiction lauch a massive assault globally at fedderation sea based facilities(towns, ship docks, bases, ressuply stations, etc) in a large blitz. The idea would be to cause a massive amount of confusion on earth to get the feds to think, "Oh crap, the principality are making another push on earth! What forces can we use?" Which brings up that most of the earth federations forces in space so they will be stuck deciding if they should send some back to earth or to quickly attack a baou aqu. This distraction would have ideally allowed zeon to have more time to refit their forces with units from the united maintenance plan. But that plan failed due to not enough units(Zgok e) being made so late in the war to allow this to allow this to occur. Fanon aside, this would be an interesting kit to make. Maybe after the one im working on is finished, i can go and do this idea. Thoughts everybody?
you know it really bothers me that in GBO2 you cant rapid fire both hands at the same time. just like the ram Zgok. its beam guns are also capable of single shot fire. yet we only have the rapid fire version. it would be a nice sup weapon to add. this is my favorite zgok variant i just want it better lol
there are some games like fed v zeon, gundam v zeta and cross fire where you can fire both arm weapons at the same time and use ur head vulcans while using other weapons. i understand because of online balancing reasons why u cant but they do sound like cool features.

The ZGok E is basically the zgok after hitting the gym. Love this thing

I do love the MAs and there are amphibious ones that may or may not be covered real soon. I would like to also cover the non-MAMs aswell there neat
I would love to see a z’gok e or another variant of the z’gok be spacefaring besides the Gasshia, Maybe even bring back the RF Z’gok.

that sounds like it would be a full armored zgok as for the beam sabers hands the thunderbolt acguy in the manga has those
