Thanks for the great tips! I used all of your advice today on a resale car shoot and it worked out perfectly. Thank you!
If you have a DSLR, use your telephoto lens to shoot exterior shots. This will better isolate the vehicle and since you will need to back away from the vehicle, the near far distance ratio between the front and rear of the car will appear more compressed due to their distance from the sensor.
I use either a 200mm or 400mm lens for this.
Try it, you'll like it, as they used to say.
Very practical, making photography still in touch with our daily life..

Its true what you said here. I got caught for a car witch had lot of problems inside engine, Gear box, brakes, AC, but I missed them because of the nice look & the beautiful photos that bastard uploaded. lost almost 2lakhs when selling it to another one but I was honest to tell the truth & Im happy about it

Is it a problem that the sky is blown out in the pictures from down low? I see you had shutter speed super fast to maintain aperture but would it have been better to shoot with an ND filter or there abouts.

What kind of sunglasses is this I know it’s ray ban but which one please?
Nice Video, but don't forget to take detail shots of the Steering Wheel, Gearshifter and so on because some are worn out really hard, some are "as new" even the car is some more years old. Greetings from cold Germany :-)
even if you sell your camera gear or what ever you have in house then you do same thing.Clean it and take good photos, not just random.

Love your vids and don't want to troll you, but... those shots from the ground... they don't work. I'm an auto dealership inventory photographer and from what all our marketing studies suggest, people want to look at a photo the way they would look at it in real life. Eye level. You ever see anyone get down on their ass to look at a car? NOPE. :D It's a great artsy shot, but won't help you sell your car. Also, turning the tires isn't a good idea either. Include a closeup of one of the tires in a straight direction.

Im trying to sell my dang car, yourtrying to sell your camera.
The phone picture he took was purposely bad. It was not at the same angle and he did not do any editing on it like he did with the DSLR pictures. These days a DSLR is overkill in most situations, especially for a simple car ad. Plus people are less willing to buy a car when the picture looks like a stock image.
