I think you need to show what's on your master chain before people start mixing all their tracks in +6db and expecting it to sound good xD

I think you'd benefit greatly from using MIDI for your drums. The drum rack is such a powerful tool.
Personally I'd say that the strength of Ableton is how insanely intuitive the sample manipulation is and drum racks make this process extremely clunky. Many Ableton producers, including me, prefers that even if it means some processes are a bit more cumbersome.
I disagree. I use drum racks a lot but this seems like a great workflow.

he changed the grid to triplets (CMD+3 on Mac) and then cut the samples to be hitting on the 1 and 3 of the triplet.

Wtf are you doing to the audio? I use Logic and doesn’t seem like you can manipulate audio like you did in this video. Like do you have control over the ADRS of the wave form?
He just changed the length of the fade in and fade out of the clip making it shorter and snappier. I’m sure there’s fade control in logic
