Very disappointed with how they chose to release skins, not only can you get dupes of recolors but the one set of skins (tower battles) we were all hyped for ended up behind a paywall despite never being disclosed, they hyped us up for nothing and it’s very very infuriating.
Also, idk why the top tier skins, besides Tower Battles, are a bunch of Nekos. Like, why does everything have to be Neko and not something cool like what TDS has? I know people like Neko, but do they really have to be the only top tier skins while everything is just recolors?
Honestly i thought there would be more military skins, like you know, because that's the style the game tries to go for. But instead we only get 1 military skin for ranger and a bunch of neko skins with tb skins that cost money... Oh right i forgot, we also got recolor skins, which look awful and completely kill the unique look of every tower's path.
This update blows. Not only are the TB skins locked behind a paywall, but the other skins are all in loot crates. John said we could choose our own skins but he never specified it for every skin, He did say we can choose our TB skins, and we could, for robux. He never specified that the other skins like the recolor ones are locked behind loot crates. I had a feeling there was a chance for recolor skins to be behind a loot crate and TB skins to be insanely expensive. In the end, I wasn't surprised for the color skins to be behind a loot crate, but for the TB skins I am very disappointed. John technically stuck to his word, but ultimately lost the trust of most of his fanbase.
Yeah hopefully this is just a bad start and misstep. Hopefully they can not be like tds and give consistent good updates..But uh not lookin good so far

Honestly this could’ve been done better, the coloured skins are just gonna either not be used at all, or are gonna cause epilepsy to anyone playing with noobs equipping them. The duplicate system is also generally disliked due to it being a waste of money but it can be easily fixed by giving out refunds for example: $100 back for the basic crate
There's gonna be a system where you can use 5 common duplicates to make an uncommon skin and then use 5 uncommon skins to make an epic skin and so on. Legendary Duplicates can also be turned into other Legendary skins
Don't get me wrong i don't hate tdx i think it still has the potential to become a really cool game but its just the entire skin system in general feels really half-baked. i'm not sure if they rushed to push this small update out cause it really feels like they did lol

They want to make profit off of copy paste skins and have became the first game to do a "collab" that costs robux. Not only are the skins copy paste and money hungry, but they are absolute garbage. A wise gamer once said, cosmetics is not considered an update. I mean, the game isnt even as fun as tds and it feels like John is taking advantage of his fans by taking their time and wallets.

After 12 days of getting from 0-100 and getting every tower (including warship), i started testing the skin crates and decided to just spend 6k,but for some reason i got 5 legendary skins in those 6k (the skins were neko sniper,ghost jug,catgirl and cyber neko edj,and catgirl operator)
I love the the skins and I know they put a lot of effort in them like the dj literally has custom animations and music they put a lot of effort and it should be appreciated but the way they executed the release made me wanna die bcuz John literally said many times he didn’t like gambling crates

Broo I remember grinding coins just to get 11 pink farms in a row! Then I just gave up on that game
I both hate it and love it that in every tds game there HAS to be a catgirl skin just to bring in the simps for that extra player count
After 12 days of getting from 0-100 and getting every tower (including warship), i started testing the skin crates and decided to just spend 6k,but for some reason i got 5 legendary skins in those 6k (the skins were neko sniper,ghost jug,catgirl and cyber neko edj,and catgirl operator)
i got cat girl operator (legendary) on my 4th and last crate
your first role was light pink sniper and your last one was also light pink sniper
2 weeks into the game's release and john already fumbling the bag
So if you want to get like cyber neko skin you only have 0.4% chance of getting it, which is with average luck 50k or even more if you're unlucky
i got the cyber neko skin for edj it took 7k saved up coins to get it from unboxing those crates
i wish tds did a major update i miss having to try and get towers. Now im just waiting for a new event :(
