    Hey Everybody! Today Paulo Runs Through "Rahdo's Goofs"
    If you find Goofs I didn’t notice Please leave Timestamps :)
    Thank You
    15:57 That's not the VP Track, That's the Valkyrie Track
    19:30 Should have receive 1 more Provision because of the Forager
    22:17 It's not impossible... he could pay 2 Silver to do it
    26:00 It's a Gold, not a Silver
    27:57 Forgot to score 1 VP
    28:42 If it's less than 8 you don't fail in the Raid, you just don't get any VP's
    28:53 It's 9 because he has 3 Armour, that was Jen's disc he picked up
    29:00 Richard had to Roll a 5 or a 6 to get 4 VP's (if he only had an 8 like he was thinking he had to roll a 6 to reach the 14 strength)

    Really looks interesting!
    The game wasn't on my radar before, but it has been popping up. It looks nice and the mechanics suit it too. Definitely gonna check it out.

    You've sold me on this big time! I took a look at the after-Kickstarter store and grabbed the trilogy and Runesaga with all the fixings. There goes my allowance. ;) The art is absolutely beautiful and the game plays well, thx for bringing this one to my attention. :)

    28:43 It might be good to clarify that if you don't have enough strength, the attack doesn't fail. You simply get no points.

      msolec2000 That was demonstrated in one of Jen attacks but added a note anyway... thanks

    Cool review on a cool game. You found some of your little mistakes by yourself, but there is a "minor" one left: The Gravedigger does not give you one "Money" (which is Silver), once he dies, he gives you one "Gold" (!). That is a slight difference. Anyway, not meant to offend you, a really nice review, enjoyed it very much. ;)

    Awesome game...and in my opinion, rolling high enough to gain maximum points on a raid absolutely means that your Raiders killed everybody... ;-)

    It strikes me as odd that you'd know ahead of time everything you'd get or suffer from raiding a location. Would the game still work if say 1 or 2 of the 4 cubes (probably no valkyries) were placed at each location during setup (you scouted the location ahead of time) and then after you chose to attack that location you drew 2 or 3 more cubes at random (maybe some of your characters died or you found more resources)? Yeah, that would add some luck to the game, which some people might not want, but from watching a few videos on the game now I feel like the game could really benefit from some excitement over the unknown.

    I was going to comment but then realized this was Raiders and not Shipwrights. I think you should try Plethora and Cibola. I did not like Shipwrights, but would really happily watch a video of you playing Shipwrights and would enjoy hearing your thoughts.

      waterwixxxer we have played plethora... very handsome production, and a solid pickup and deliver game, but PU&D is relaly not a gameplay genre we enjoy.
      Shipwrights i haven't tried at all, because i know i'll have way too much take that woven in for us

    Interaction between players seems to be minimum, except for the "take that" aspect through cards, and maybe where you place and take a meeple (the unique worker placement mechanic). What's your impression on extent of player interaction?

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  Před 7 lety

      it's a race game, you can see what your oppoents can do, and decide whether you want to stop them from doing it (attack cards) or beat them to it

    26:00 it seems Richard read the ability as you get a coin (silver) when the grave digger dies, but it says you get a gold...

    22:14 It's not impossible for you to armor up, you could pay two silver for one armor.

    Grrrr- my two least favorite screwage mechanics. Swap cards and steal resources. Pass.

    • @RichDurhamDesigns
      @RichDurhamDesigns Před 9 lety +1

      wolflarson71 Those two cards are one of the most minor parts of the game, and rarely used for that effect (as it is often better to use them as warriors in a raid). It is quick to recover from that, even if you are hit.

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  Před 9 lety +3

      Richard Durham yup, thh we've found in an average game, you'll be in a position 2 or maybe 3 times at the most where it makes sense to attack another player. most of the time, those cards are better put to use being hired to join your viking crew. still, 2 or 3 times is 2 or 3 times too many for me and jen, but we're wusses :)

    Kind of uncomfortable with the choice of colors for the meeples and their value , I can see some "funny " jokes with really bad taste being made in gaming groups . The art in the game looks stunning !!!!!

      Yeah, I have to say this put me off as well. Surely this must have been noticed by a playtester and mentioned to the designer. They could have easily changed the colours to red, yellow, and blue or made small, medium, and large meeples. Or gave them some kind of experience markings, something.
