In reference to what the rings spelled out, I theorize that it might be Sonic trying to talk to SEGA Enterprises about how he doesn’t want to be treated like an EA toy. But since there was no answer, Sonic just runs all the way to the end of the level and jumps off the cliff to commit suicide over it.
Sheesh, this game really does go deep.
Even worse is that Sega brings him back every time and he remembers every time he writes that message for Sega and committing suicide when they don't answer leaving a message to sega asking to not bring him back.but they still do, it gets so bad he even changes the title to "please, let it end"

The saddest part is that more people are going to buy Sonic Games. As people have taken note, anytime Sega releases a new IP, very few people would actually buy those said games and by the time people paid those games the attention they deserve, its in a Sonic and Sega crossover game. People only want Sonic and Sega knows this. Without Google, most people would think the only games Sega ever made is Sonic and Bayonetta.
So if Sonic is a real person, he is like an actor that Hollywood throws into a movie just so the tickets would sell. The only way Sonic can rest is if no one buys ANYTHING from Sega. So no more Sonic Movies, no more Bayonetta, no more reboots of past games, no more Sonic Comics, no more fan art, no more fan games(I know Sega doesn't own them, but seeing on how Sega interacts with the base fan art and fan games would only breed more Sonic games.), no more Olympic Games, no more Sonic in Smash Bros.

This… this is so unlike Sonic (he’d NEVER give up even when facing unfathomable odds) but at the same time it’s just so… true. Every new bad thing leaves a stain on the series, and it only gets worse and worse until one day, they just say “screw it” and pull the plug altogether. This has only gotten truer since the Colors Ultimate disaster.
I do NOT condone what Sonic’s doing here at all (please stay strong, Cobi) but if Rangers, or whatever the hell it’s called, fails, then… there might not be any other option.
