We had so much fun today catching Spanish mackerel with the bobber smallest one was 14 and 1/2 but we caught some that was 18 using greenbacks😊😊

I used to fish with light tackle there until the dolphins took eight mackerel in a row from me, now I use a Daiwa 4000 reel with a medium weight rod. To get them past the dolphin you have to get the fish up on the surface real quick and then plane them.

I went to John’s pass and fort desoto this previous weekend and used the jigs you said and we caught some little snapper flounder and lizardfish
