Soarin' Over California should be brought back permanently to Disney California Adventure & Soarin' Around the World should be a seasonal overlay in my opinion.
or just keep them at their respective parks, cali works better in dca and world works better in epcot

Still one of the greatest attractions on earth. The smells get me every time. When I was a kid you were truly flying over California. Amazing.

@@haydfors I have been on to that ride multiple times back then and the way I remember you can smell the fresh citrus flying by you can see a beautiful view of the canyons it’s completely blew me away

This is so nostalgic! Brings back so many memories, this actually used to be my favorite ride at Disneyland, so sad they only have Soarin' over California once a month.
This ride was a favorite of my family when we went to Disneyland. My grandma said she couldn't smell the oranges. One of the last times we rode it we asked her during that part of the ride if she could smell it and she finally said she could.
The music at the end of this ride always gives me the chills. Props to Jerry Goldsmith who kicked ass in the score for this series of rides

I didn’t know that. Because, I remember riding soarin over California when, I was 4 years old. Also, I think it’s my second or third time from the original ride as an adult.

Love Love Souring Over California. It is my favorite. It should always stay in California Adventure. So EXCELLENT. Never get tired of it. If they want to keep Souring Over The World, perhaps make a separate ride for that. You can always add on. But souring over California should be a staple, after all, not everyone has seen California!!!!!
Best part is when the music drops off and the Thunderbirds fly by
The shot of Yosemite always gives me chills
East Coaster here and former Soarin attendant. When I was working the attraction, it was California and when that changed I was so sad. When they brought California back for a short time, I was in tears when I finally got to fly again.
Thank you for sharing. This made me tear up as this was our favorite ride on our honeymoon 14 years ago with my husband.
Made the whole trip to Disney for me last year when they brought this back. Soarin’ Around The World is great, it’s just not the same! This is so iconic!
I love soarin' over California! It looks so real. When they switched to world all the sights looked fake. I also like the transitions better in CA

I remember going on this ride the day it came back on my sister's birthday. The part where you see Disneyland everyone cheered. It's an experience I'll never forget

This should be the permanent attraction at California Adventure. I remember first riding this ride when CA first opened when I was a kid, and it was so cool and unique, and I think having the setting in California helped.
this attraction was scored by the late great Jerry Goldsmith and was his final project. And his first theme park attraction score.

Just got back from this and it is SO much better in real life, they blast scents at you in different scenes and have fans so you feel like your flying! Would recommend it!

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Soaring Over California are at the top of my list of attractions to see at Disneyland.

I went on this ride 2 days ago and it’s one of the best rides as an adult from either park. Indians jones, pirates, tower of terror (now a marvel ride), incredicoaster and soarin’. Those are the best rides!
Prefer this version to the current one in Epcot. So many familiar places I have been. Thank you for all the great videos.
Soaring over California is one of my most favorite rides to go on.

It’s back for a short time for the California Adventure Food and Wine Festival. I’ll be there in a week, and I can’t wait. I miss it.
I loved Soarin Over California better than Soarin Over the World. It just had more of a magical vibe to it. And felt more appropriate for the California Adventure park since it is supposed to be California.

I wish the California version would be made the permanent version at DCA with Soarin Around the World being the seasonal 'special' version. The former was made specifically for DCA and the latter was made for the global parks and Epcot. Plus, IMO this version has better music and more motion.

This is really need to see but having been on the Florida version first, I can really see where they made improvements from the California version to the Florida version, especially in terms of the transitions between the scenes. With the Florida version they will kick up a distraction like a spray of water or dust or a sharp turn to create a transition from scene to scene, with the California one it’s just straight cuts and it’s a little jarring. I’m surprised they never went back and added transitions into this one as well. Thanks for sharing though this is a great video it’s interesting to see the different versions since I haven’t been able to ride in person.
You mean the Around the World version? If that's the case, those transitions are all CGI. Like the elephant throwing sand. Rather the abrupt transitions to the intentional CGI infested ones.

I went on this ride, it was awesome! i was front seat though, and it’s actually kinda makes your stomach drop a bit! Because it actually feels like your flying!

@@heavenandhello6629 That is easy: CGI. You must sit in the middle bay or the Eiffel Tower is crooked. Most of the shots are done with CGI. The original had NO CGI. FACT.
