CAS in Sims 4 gets so overwhelming for me because of the amount of things you can customize. I literally spend hours trying to fine-tune their looks. Sometimes I miss the sliders.
@@mx.menacing Its a game they don't have to fine tune every little thing they can use a base and slightly changing it makes it more like using the sliders. Not do anything to in-depth. I think Carrie was trying to tell them how to do it in a less overwhelming.
I hated the sliders. All your sims are bound to have the same face syndrome because sliders are so limited. Itâs much easier being able to fine tune, especially if youâre into making really unique looking sims. But I agree with the initial comment, thereâs plenty of base sims in the gallery if fine tuning is not your thing. You can even randomize your sims features or randomize a sim completely and change whatever you want as per your preference.
I already knew all of these especially since I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my sims, the first time I played sims 4 I really explored all of the dragging aspects to make a sim unique and that's when I learned about everything that was shown in this short and ever since I been using all of those dragging aspects for every sim I make to make them all unique.
These videos always offer what feels like really obvious things, but I actually learned something from this one!! Had no idea about grabbing the white of the eye. Guess you can still learn new things after playing a game for eight years đ
Honestly ive been playing sims since i can remember, it was the first game i ever played. And I got sims 4 like the first month it released and im JUST NOW finding out about the corner of the eye thing and changing the entire shape of the eye. Lol it's weird the little things we dont notice until someone points it out
one detail that i love about ts4 cas is the fact that you can change your sim's feet size. as someone with smaller feet than the average human, i find this feature amazing and it makes me feel included!
I think doing your best to try to match a picture of a real life person can help! People can be pretty/attractive while still having unique features you might not think to use for your Sims. I downloaded really accurate Sims of characters from shows I like from the gallery and it inspired me to make more unique Sims.
i knew you could change the shape of the eye i just didn't realise you could do it through the tear duct. i've spent so long trying to pull the lid on my sims and missing countless times. this was a big help
I thought this was for the new players, watched out of curiosity, thought I was good at CAS, turns I didnât know most of them⊠like especially the eyes which will help me do a much more accurate simself
How did you lower the pupils wtf?! Iâve been trying to do that for so long, I thought it wasnât possible! Why am I only knowing about this now?? Teach me your ways!!! How did you do that!!?
@@amandaannamalid7065 I tried that at the time and it didnât workđ It works now but for a long time Iâve been trying to do that and it never really worked. It mustâve been a problem with my sims or computer.

You can also change the fullness of the face-when in the âdetail modeâ of the face, you can click and drag the forehead left or right, watch the bottom of the face near the chin and jaw for any changes.
Can you imagine that people who are not developers, has created additional sliders to everything that ea created at first, and even new ones, like torso and legs distance. Check mods for sliders and presets.
I canât play the sims 4. I still play the sims 3 and will probably never play 4 but that doesnât mean there isnât things they did right. Iâm jealous of the sims 4 cas and a sizing up and down objects lol. I could probably get a mod for the second one tho
If you pull at the end of the eyebrows, you can widen the forehead. Good tips tho, I didnât know about the adjusting the eyes using the sclera so video was super helpful for that. Ty.
I wish there were more teeth options tbh. Like if the braces had different swatches to emulate people with their colored bands irl. I also wish we could change the overall height of a sim. I don't want all my Sims to be as tall as a model. I want to make myself and that's just simply not possible without adjustable heights. Frankly, I find their lack in the game an even more appalling oversight than any other issue with the base game.
Iâm 5â10, so Iâve never had thought of needing to adjust my self sims height. I wonder if the lack of height adjustment is a measure to prevent pâŹdos from creating a âchildâ sim you can sleep with. Especially since you can already make the breasts totally nonexistent in a female sim. I always just assumed it was to keep creeps from enacting weird fantasies.
@@Julia-tk2em This comment is wild, the reason we can't have different heights is because the animations would glitch out and you wouldn't be able to use the same animation for each height. But even if I didnt know that, not in 100 years would i think "its because of creeps" lol
@@cuyami2103 They use the same animations for all of the different body sizes (Think hugging, the âpassionate kissâ animation, or any other animation involving multiple sims), so the height restriction being a limit of programming or aesthetics doesnât make any more sense.
