Had to choose between a 2018 F150, and a 2015 platinum. Took the platinum home. Oh my lord...nicest truck I have ever been in. Massage seats blew my mind...

I just picked up a 2016 platinum and I do love it. It's got plenty get up and go. Handles surprisingly well on pavement in corners. Can't wait for the first snow to try out the 4x4 ability. Stay tuned.

I just purchased my 2016 platinum v8 5.0 wow ford is a step ahead of the game I love all the other trucks like Toyota ,dodge and Chevy but I had to go with the ford hands down keep it up ford

@@moparcharger8642 I bought F150 platinum V8 last year. Right now has 109k miles. It's the best vehicle I have ever owned! I took off road, long road trips, night on the town with the wife. It does everything well. I also had it paint corrected and opti-coated to remove swirl marks. Now my black truck looks like it has only 50k miles instead of 100k+. I'm not letting go of this truck any time soon.

I saw a Ford F150 Platinum today but I didn't recognize the color. The truck was colored golden brown. Is anyone familiar with that color ?
We're stumped, NJ2MDdude. It may have been the previous-gen truck or an aftermarket color because the only color we can think of that's even close to a brown on the current model is called Magnetic, and that's probably more of a gray than a brown. Comment back on here if you find out what it was, though. Thanks!
The color is golden bronze and was available in 2012. It's an eye catching color. I've seen it on the road only twice. I'd buy a Form F150 Platinum in a heartbeat if it was offered in golden bronze or even ginger ale metallic (i.e., 2013 Ford Taurus). The whites, blacks and grays are boring.

Hi, DaveSoto45. We actually answered this question about a month ago, so we just copied and pasted our answer again here:
Platinum was the top trim package in 2015. Now for 2016, Ford has added the Limited trim on top and that adds the Technology package standard (optional on Platinum), and apparently now the heated rear seats and twin panel moonroof are only available on the Limited trim. Platinum has a single panel moonroof and can opt for the Max Trailer Tow package, Limited can not. The 360 degree camera, lane keeping system, and adaptive cruise are standard on Limited and optional on Platinum. The Limited has some chrome trim pieces on the exterior and the Platinum can be optioned with skid plates, the Limited can not. The 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine is standard on the Limited and remains an option on the Platinum. Finally, the 2016 Platinum starting price is now $2k less than our 2015 tester and the 2016 Limited is almost $6300 more than the 2016 Platinum. To wrap it up, the Platinum is more of a fancy work truck, whereas the Limited is just fancy. But those are just our thoughts. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
+AutoAcademics some of this is wrong. You can get the pano moon roof and the tech package as far back as the lariat. The single panel sunroof is only available with the smaller cab configurations.
Ian Keslar Thank you for your input, Ian Keslar. We were addressing the differences between the Platinum and Limited trim packages, not the entire lineup of trucks. If you take another look at our previous post, you'll see that we said the Tech package is standard on the Limited and optional on the Platinum models. We guess you did catch us on the panoramic roof option, though, as we should have said Equipment Group 900A (heated rear seats, twin panel moonroof, etc.) is standard on Limited and those individual features are optional on Platinum. Guess next time we should just recommend that the info can be found at ford.com/trucks/f150. Thank you for clearing that up.

I heard this truck has a lot of problems from a lot of people also there is a video on CZcams made by a Ford Tech employed by Ford for the past 10 years explain the problems of this truck, he went and bought a Dodge Ram because of all the problems the Ford f-150 has and major customer complains almost from every Ford owner has with this truck check out the video I will take this advice from a Ford technician, the video is called "Top ten reasons Ford Tech purchase the 2015 Ram versus the 2015 f-150.

I traded in my 2015 f150, poor build quality. I noticed my dashboard started warping within two weeks, yep two weeks. I was pissed. Ford responded and replaced it. A couple months later it started warping again. I got rid of it. It was an xlt model. Sad I really wanted to love the f150 too. This is the 2nd time Ford disappointed me.

No other auto maker, Dodge, GM, Toyota, Nissan cannot, I repeat, CANNOT compare to what the Ford Platinum and even the Limited have. Ford pretty much have everything that a consumer want. This is what you call a luxury truck. I have a 2010 Ford 150 Platinum and a 2012 f350 Platinum. I use both trucks for work, and pleasure. I think the only thing is lacking is a half ton diesel to compare with dodge and nissan. And yes I have seen videos of a concept f150, 2016 diesel. so hopefully they can work out the kinks and bring it to the table.

I'm just saying. its very funny how other automakers, like toyota for example said that the 1794 is the most luxurious truck on the market. And I just had to point out that take the tundra 1794 for example is does not even come close to becoming a luxury truck. that model is and can be compared to the ford f150 king ranch, Chevy High country, Ram longhorn laramie edition. I just want to point that out.
