That would be nice if it was! Thank you for watching, Pete!
👍
Wonder y brass is worth less? Anyone know why?
@@cuetTimmonz mostly due to production processes.
Brass is underated sometimes with copper always getting the glory 😅
I agree! Yes it’s not as valuable as copper but a lot of brass has good weight for its size. Plus it’s pretty imo.
Thank you for watching again buddy.

Found a brass headboard once being thrown out. Took less than an hour to take out the metal bolts and cashed in for a hundred bucks. Easy money if you can find it!
That’s so awesome! I love good easy brass like that.

Hi James. WOW 35lbs Fabulous! Good for you. Love the breaking down of stuff. God’s grace to you and your family. 🙏🏻💖from Saskatchewan 🇨🇦
Hello, Delphine. Thank you so much!
God bless you and all of your loved ones!
Thank you for watching.
Where in Saskatchewan? I hail from Saskatoon but am in Victoria, BC now
Thanx dude. One wouldn't believe that Brass is found in Plug Prongs ( but most are slightly Coated hence " dirty Brass" price) Prongs inside Surge Protectors and Electrical boxes. Ceiling fans( not all but check), garden hose Ends, Zippers on most pants. One may think it's brass. Bullets! Some are Brass with a silver color coating. Sometimes it's Aluminum:(. 20 years ago Brass and Aluminum were both 35 cents a pound. We get $2.30 per pound. One Scrapyard didny care if it were chrome plated ( usually found on Beer Keg plumbing ) Lol they even took Water faucets! Lotta plastic and sometimes metal plate. I meticulously take them apart - there is Copper in there. It all adds up! Almost forgot- Bronze gets Brass price. In 20 years Ive only seen 2 Bronze items. 10:23 24:56
That’s why I love brass, it’s found in so many areas. My yard doesn’t care if it has plating or solder or paint, it’s all clean yellow brass to them.
I’ve found a few pieces of bronze, but my yard only pays yellow brass price for them, which is fine by me, less sorting lol.
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment, I appreciate it.
Lovely pile of brass brother. I might have kept that lantern, that was really cool. Great video as always

only since I started 2 years ago LOL @@scrapitall200
I bet you still have quite the pile of brass. I’ve scrapped 1,600+ pounds of brass in the last 2.5 years.
@@scrapitall200 yeah but you pull brass out of everything - even if its just a couple ounces. I have tossed tons but the chunky stuff is still hanging out. I would be happy with 1/2 that number.
@@nachostuff you’re too busy to do what I do lol. Where I live, there is no garbage pick up so no street scrapping for me, so I have to scrap it all cause I just don’t get much lol
Awesome haul of brass. I've never taken my brass to the scrapyard and I have quite a bit, I think. I probably should clean some up and sell it.
Oh my, I bet you have quite the weight in brass!

The best brass things are urinals, (boys/men's room with 360 degree flusher valve) you have to take them apart because there is a peice of steel in the middle. They are removing them everywhere and they are heavy!
Oh wow! Thank you so much for that information, I greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for watching multiple videos and leaving comments. It helps the channel a lot.
That lamp used is worth hundreds of dollars resold. A lot more that a few pounds scrap value
How much would you pay for it?
@@scrapitall200 look up brass nautical lanterns and light fixtures
I know they can be worth money but finding a person to actually buy it is the challenge. I live in a small community. The lamp was offered for free and after two weeks of no one taking it, I decided I’d take it and scrap it.
Maybe set up an Etsy shop. It costs around 20 cents US to list something. The other fees are all a percentage of the sale price and shipping.
@@scrapitall200 Agree. Ther is a huge difference between what something is worth compaired to what people will actually pay. I am a,ways finding heavy brass lamps, headboards, and other items but even trying to sell them for twice scrap value, does not sell.
Nice amount of brass my friend, those lights where awesome I would of kept them but thats me ,did you add the brass what was in your green tub ?god bless 🙏 to you my friend 🙏
I have too much stuff already 😂
No, I didn’t add that stuff!

Thank you so much buddy.
I found one the other day, not a single piece of metal in it, absolute garbage.
No, they definitely did not want to work 😂

Nice! 3.16 a lb now in ont. Great cash in. And if u have copper too.. 😊 mad money! Or old saying chimp change.. but no chumps here! Only hard workers.
That’s a nice price you’re getting. Thank you for watching.
Brassy Boys or Girls ❤
Just brass 😂
That shower valve looked new, and was likely worth upwards of 150 used. We can now add Valve Murder to your lengthy list of crimes. You should probably hire an attorney. The class action suit, available to 3.5 billion people without a shower is now an attractive idea for the hungry attorneys.
I knew this was going to happen 😂
My attorney advised me to scrap it since it was defective 😂
Thanks so much for your support, your humor and everything.
There's a lot of people who need a shower. Being defective is not a reason for murder. Thats why my wife doesn't kill me.@@scrapitall200
She must be an Angel!
Very insightful video, thanks for sharing.
Several questions come to mind. Is there a difference in what the scrap yards pay between brass and bronze and if so how do you separate one from the other.
The other thing is where do you find all haul like that.
Thank you for watching.
Yes, some scrap yards pay a different price for bronze, but most don’t. Yellow brass will look very yellow and bronze will look like a faded copper-ish color.
I tell as many people I know that I scrap and they’ll call me when they have stuff or know of people with scrap.
Dumpster diving or driving the streets on garbage day is another way to find scrap people are throwing away.
Placing ads in local papers saying you’ll haul away scrap for free is another option.
🖐👌👍
Thank you for watching!
I live next to a storage facility has a locked gate luckily the owner got me a key for it in the storage facility has a dumpster the owner lets me bust glass in the dumpster and yes i wear gloves and goggles
That’s a sweet deal! You find lots of good stuff?
What brand and where do you buy those gloves. Are they waterproof back and front?
They are Ace Hardware brand. They are not waterproof.
Great score of brass! should painted brass and aluminum be kept separately from clean ?
At my yard it doesn’t matter if there’s paint on brass or aluminum, it’s considered clean, but I do know some yards will downgrade you for paint on them. Definitely separate the painted ones until you know how your scrap yard classifies them.
Thank you for watching.
@@scrapitall200 Thank you!
@@aaronedmunds4829 you’re welcome
You could have probably doubled for sure and maybe tripled your $70 for the all the lighting alone if you sold it
Reselling is certainly an option for some people. I live in a small town and those lights were offered for free and no one wanted them so I took them to scrap because I hobby scrap because it’s a lot of fun for me.

@@scrapitall200 what I meant was: maybe you could show it. But thanks for documenting how you spent the day in the video
@@daaam2160 ok I see, thanks.
I don’t show it because it’s hard to get the light just right because the brass is so shiny. I’m working on improving my lighting. Thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate it.
How much are you getting for yellow brass there? Nice video.
$2 a pound for clean yellow brass. Thank you for watching.
do you keep the painted brass separate from clean?
No I don’t, definitely another thing to ask your scrapyard.
is plumbing brass separate from clean brass also ?
My yard doesn’t care if it’s all mixed together, but it might be a good idea to keep them separate until you find out how your scrapyard wants it sorted.
Thank you for watching.
@@scrapitall200 The yard I go to is hit or miss, depending on what employee is on duty or any random day.
Sometimes they tak it all a clean brass, sometimes not. So I do seperate the brass just in case

Anyway I have a question have you tried to cut fresnel lenses from dlp screen yet? I noticed non of the repurpose creators never cut them.
I’ve not done that, honestly I’m not sure it would be worth it. Next time I have one, I’ll give it a try though. Good to see you buddy
@@scrapitall200 okay anyway well I have it's not easy it doesn't cut with what you think it's going to cut with but it does cut with those two-dollar utility scissors they sell at Harbor Freight

@@THEATREGOD3 sometimes there is no easier way lol. If you find something let me know, please!
what do I do with gold plated pc parts?
Boardsort.com is a great place to sell that sort of stuff. Otherwise you’ll have to use acids to extract the gold. I sell to Boardsort.com
@@scrapitall200 ok well maybe I could melt them down
@@smitchlego it’s just gold plating, not solid gold. You can melt it but there will be other metals in with it and you’ll never get paid any good value for it. Acids or sell the stuff as is, are the only two options.
