  • My first stop in the great state of Utah was the Valley of the Gods in Southeastern Utah. This place has been on my bucket list for a while and it did not disappoint! I found a perfect dispersed camping spot, set up camp, and was amazed at all the majestic buttes, brown mesas, towers and mushroom rocks surrounding me. This is definitely a spot I will return to in the near future! Thanks for watching folks.

      @DispersedCamperMan  Před rokem

      There was decent cell service first mile or so in. The further you went down Valley of God Road, the cell service was spotty. It use to be part of the Bears Ears National Monument, but reverted back to BLM under then President Donald Trump. Wikipedia - "On December 4, 2017, President Donald Trump issued a proclamation that reduced the area of Bears Ears National Monument, proclaimed by President Barack Obama on December 28, 2016, with new monument boundaries that exclude the Valley of the Gods. The area remains protected public land administered as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern and managed by the Bureau of Land Management, as it was before the monument designation."

    Drove through there about 4 and half years ago, saw a lot of people camping and it looked great but we were on the way to LA for a flight so we couldn't stay. Is the road any easier? We had a Ford Escape and it struggled a few times and we told someone in a car to turn back.

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  Před rokem

      The road isn't to bad. I saw several cars driving on it. Do not try it after it has rained, the road gets really muddy. There is a switch back that can get tight and some steep washed. You just have to take it real slow if you want to drive the whole road.

    i'm looking to do a motorcycle trip to that area in May 2025 and wanted to camp in that area. Would I have any problems riding my harley-davidson to the area that you camped at around 1 -2 miles or even further in, of course my motorcyle isn't for off roading but if its doible . Are there more spots on the route that you showed during your motorcycle ride? So how far back do you go down the valley of the God road to get to your camp site.

      You shouldn't have a problem at all riding down the dirt road, just take it slow. I wouldn't advise it if it's been raining. The road in can get sloppy/messy. My camping spot was only about 1 mile in. There are many other spots down that dirt road that would be great camping spots. Safe travels!
