I would have never thought that jeep would beat the truck pulling contest
80's/90's trucks, especially big V8s, have terrible power output. Most American car companies were still struggling to get power out of an engine while meeting new fuel and environmental regulations that came about in the 70s. Then they're usually made even worse with lift kits and oversized tires. Anytime I see a square body truck like that, I assume it makes as much wheel power as a modern toyota corolla.
Make it a diesel truck and it would have been different!
