The worst cartoons have to be Velma, Rugrats 2021, and Powerpuff 2016. Also, I looked at an interview with Sue Rose that makes Angela Anaconda tolerable to me.
honestly angela anaconda has some good in it, some of the jokes are really funny (my favorite episode is the curse of baby lulu because I cried from how hard it made me laugh)
The 2021 version of Rugrats surpasses the shortcomings of Velma and Powerpuff 2016 by a significant margin, positioning itself far apart from those productions. It boasts a stronger emotional connection and the vision is more creative. Notably, many of its original writers have returned to contribute, with some even hailing from the Hey Arnold team. This revival is marked by a genuine dedication that extends beyond mere profiteering from a nostalgic property. The unfavorable online reputation that clings to Rugrats 2021 can be attributed to its unfortunate timing - a period when Nickelodeon was heavily focused on spinoffs and reboots. This, however, cannot be held against the show itself, as the reboot was sanctioned during Nickelodeon's Zarghami era. The controversy surrounding Betty's sexual orientation, the replacement of adult character voices with celebrity counterparts, the occasional subpar animation in episode reenactments, and a somewhat lukewarm start to the initial episodes contribute to this negative perception. Adjusting to the new vocalizations and portrayals of the adult characters did take some acclimatization on my part. It's undeniable that the earliest episodes do accentuate millennial stereotypes, and upon revisiting them, they indeed began with a relatively average quality. Nevertheless, my perseverance yielded positive results as the show progressively improved. The humor surrounding Stu's gaming tendencies was dialed down, and the series delved deeper into the intricacies of the adults' personalities compared to the original run. Character development took center stage, particularly in Angelica's case, granting her a more multifaceted and relatable dimension, a transformation that even Mr Enter would appreciate, because he previously held reservations about her portrayal in the original. Furthermore, the show took bold steps by introducing lasting alterations to the status quo, enriching its lore, and affording Dil an evolution as a character that was less evident in the show's first iteration. Admittedly, there will be those unable to overlook these changes, a perspective that is entirely valid. Yet, I do contend that the vehement backlash, especially when drawing comparisons to the aforementioned series, is disproportionately exaggerated.
There are so many things that can make an animation "bad" but I think the worst possible thing is when it clearly has no respect for the medium of animation or desire to be anything more than "just barely below mediocre or less". The kind of thing that makes you wonder "Was anyone competent hired to work for this company clearly managed by morons? Did anyone involve care about the final product or is this a tax writeoff?"
I still have PTSD from Sanjay and Craig. It was so obvious they were just trying to copy SpongeBob with a mix of adventure time and it failed miserably. Just an awful show
I admired ture criticism my friend, I do think this show is obnoxious too. But if that triggers you too much, you don't have to watch it. It's not worth it.
wow, way to undermine the real experience of people who actually have PTSD. stop pretending you have a mental illness for internet funny hyperbole points.
Theme fighting words, I’m choosing not to rewatch it but that was a nice childhood show for me! I appreciate growing up with that and not watching other cartoons like the original cartoon cartoons, and I’m not ashamed to have watched many other cartoons back then like Teen Titans Go.
Problem Solvers is fundamentally broken and hard to look at. It was not around for long thankfully. To be the most terrible show it’s gotta be one that sticks around for no good reason.
It's just toxic positivity that makes angry reviews less popular now, that more often people demonize the very concept of someone criticizing a work of fiction or their favorite writer at all because they're oversensitive, and hypocritical as they're always willing to insult other things themselves. They're not right to demand negative reviewers like you to be more soft on things and demonize any criticism and they should not be humored, take it from me that just isn't right. I'm with you on not liking A Link Between Worlds. The dungeons are great, but the outdoor sections are padded frustration full of reasons for why AlttP's better!
Should've asked on stream but... When you said three years ago that Quagmire is the worst character on Family Guy, is Quagmire now one of your most hated characters of all time? More so than Brian?
tbh I know this was just a casual discussion stream, but relying on comments for the whole thing just kinda made it seem like going down a random list of things. I'd at least have an outline you wanna cover next time, with allowing input from comments, just to give things more of a structured conversation feel.
It was alright. It had a lot of annoying side characters though and Cleveland himself pretty much turned into Peter 2.0 but it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
The most offensive one, to me, is PPG 2016. Just out and out removing characters, altering designs to be less angular, being very of its time, rather than timeless. Not to mention the weird shipping of one of the writers and Blossum. I'd forgive that, though, if it wasn't as dumb and banal as it was.
In my eyes All of the Popeye cartoons (minus Hour cuz I haven't seen it) reboots are pretty bad. Especially Island Adventures. Other than that Dramarama, Velma, Yo Yogi and Paranormal Action Squad(Minus the Vanoss stuff) is pretty bad.
A show that i find worst, is a real shocker. Yo Gabba Gabba, YGG for short... it's in my childhood where the Devil lurks around the kiddie corner. Multiple things; the characters mainly the Gabba friends always being immature and obnoxious, in fact, they are always never learning their lesson in not being an *rse all the time, just like Wolfoo. To add pain to the abomination, it feels like multiple celebrities I think are blackmailed into the project, wasted celebrity cameos (I feel bad for Jack Black, The Killers, Of Montreal and even Shiny Toy Guns). The food and inanimate objects have faces on them, which is creepy. It is even disturbing in... trust me, you don't wanna know! And furthermore, the titles of this episode are just generic in a way to add to each topic the kids would have to learn stuff about. Overall, the show is cringe and childhood PTSD combined, at its maximum!
It's not a creative answer but it's hard for me to honestly not say Family Guy or American Dad considering how bad they got & how long they've stayed that bad.
That’s from Tim and Eric isn’t it? People love them. So I’m surprised if they made something bad. But I’ll give you this, I looked it up and this seems bad for sure
Baby Looney Tunes Bunsen is a Beast Teen Titans Go Velma (but apparently ignoring the show is only making em get renewed for another season) Adventures of Kid Danger Rugrats Reboot Almost Naked Animals The Three Stooges Cartoon.
Looking back at Sanjay and Craig, it wasn't even that bad, maybe because I've watched Velma, an even more worse show that should not be exist in the first place.
Sanjay and Craig was awful in the first seasons because it was literally nothing but butt and vomit jokes. The show did get more tolerable later seasons when they toned down that stuff.
Velma isn't even top 20 worst level bad, yeah it's not very good, I can at least name 20 heck maybe 30 shows (and probably more) that have even lower production values, such horrendous writing and lack of respect for the audience, some of these may be in the ''so bad it's good'' category, but it's still technically worse. There's a lot of shows from the mid 60s to late 80s that fit this bill.
"Legend of Korra". The third season is really good, and season 4 is decent, but seasons one and two are absolutely abysmal. Additionally this show spits in the face of the original, which is something that having a really good season can't redeem. "Stressed Eric" this show is flat out miserable all the way through, thoroughly unpleasant and awful.
The villain of the first season is good to me, but the spirits were ruined completely, and I recently saw a video essay about how the spirit kites did not work well for LoK.
Even if we were to include S1-2 of Korra, it still wouldn't even be in a top 30 list of worst cartoons. I'd suggest watching mountains of shit cartoons that got made during the mid 60s to late 80s.
The worst cartoons have to be Velma, Rugrats 2021, and Powerpuff 2016. Also, I looked at an interview with Sue Rose that makes Angela Anaconda tolerable to me.
The 3D Rugrats looks like shit and I haven't even watched any episodes
Angela Anaconda has flaws but is not atrocious. Nice to see it defended

The adventures of Kid Danger, our cartoon President, and the PPG 2016 reboot are certainly some of the worst I’ve seen so far
"No, I didn't say Lightyear was too boring for me to review, I said 'it was so boring I actually died'"

I'm a rare breed for loving Mike, Lu & Og. It was a really fun premise that younger me loved, and I have nostalgia for.

Should've asked on stream but...
When you said three years ago that Quagmire is the worst character on Family Guy, is Quagmire now one of your most hated characters of all time? More so than Brian?
I WOULD agree that Soul is the best picture movie, if it wasn't for the cat body swap. Coco is still #1.

I'm looking forward to the High Guardian Spice video, whatever form it winds up taking.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sanjay and Craig when I was like 13
7:38 Cleaveland Show is Family Guy Lite, and for someone who doesn't like "Family Guy Dark" for being too strong, I enjoyed it.
It was alright. It had a lot of annoying side characters though and Cleveland himself pretty much turned into Peter 2.0 but it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Underrated Cartoon Network show ?
Any show that’s overshadowed by Teen Titans Go. Such as Clarence, OK KO let’s be heroes, and We Bare Bears.

Shame I missed out on this one, I would’ve loved to be part of this live chat

Yea Yo Gabba Gabba is objectively bad, but it introduced a whole generation to Biz Markie

You gotta review game shakers I can see you tearing into double g
It's not a creative answer but it's hard for me to honestly not say Family Guy or American Dad considering how bad they got & how long they've stayed that bad.
why are there so many questions asked that have really obvious answers
John/MrEnter sounds very Angsty, I hope he can get help and watch stuff he likes instead of talking about crap he doesn’t like for some reason.
I think Stressed Eric and Monsters vs Aliens are good contenders.
Surprised no one mentioned "Tom Goes To The Mayor". That is one of the few shows that had me actively grinding my teeth.
I haven't even heard of the show till you mentioned it that's probably why
That’s from Tim and Eric isn’t it? People love them. So I’m surprised if they made something bad. But I’ll give you this, I looked it up and this seems bad for sure
I forgot about that show. Wow, I hated that show! It was the kind of show that's so boring it's somehow anger inducing. Also, I hated the art style.
Baby Looney Tunes
Bunsen is a Beast
Teen Titans Go
Velma (but apparently ignoring the show is only making em get renewed for another season)
Adventures of Kid Danger
Rugrats Reboot
Almost Naked Animals
The Three Stooges Cartoon.
Are those some of YOUR least favourites?
Baby Looney Tunes was goated
What do ya mean "Goated"?
@@williamwalker6170 yeah. My least favorites.
The Three Stooges cartoon sounds like your average disposable Hanna-Barbera show from the '70s.

Good taste in music👌

@@zeospark9715If that’s the bar for jokes then we’re better off with My Gym Partner’s a Monkey.

Closely followed by Da Boom Crew
Still better than Danny Phantom Season Tree.
Hi guys.

1:30 I don't get it, I didn't hear any Sonic song there. What's the joke?
I like sanjay and craig cuz its very funny
ScoobyDoo’s my favorite show of the 70s
