Count me in! What a great idea!
So happy to hear that, Sherri! ❤️
The Waves!!!
❤️
Many of those books are exactly the books I like to read. So will follow with great interest and plan to join along the way. The trouble with having rampant sinus/hay fever at this time of year is that my glasses keep fogging up. Sight impaired as it is without that little bonus.🤓
So happy that you are interested in these books, Penelope. I hope you will join in with many of them! And sorry to hear about the hay fever and glasses issues. (My sniffels turned out to be a common cold...)
Hi Britta, I wanted to read the well of loneliness for a while, so I will join you and Sandy for that one for sure. Have a happy holiday and take care. Aloha.
Oh, how wonderful that you will join us in March! ❤️
It sounds great!
Wonderful! ❤️
The Waves has been languishing on my shelves for too long, so I’ll try to join along for that in May. Darn those sniffles!
Oh yes, that would be wonderful!
This is a noble idea and endeavour. I hesitate to commit to such a big project, but I'll be watching how it goes.
Thank you very much for the encouragement, Heather!! ❤️
I will read along with you for a few of the books. For too long, The Waves has been resting a little too comfortably on one of my shelves. It’s time for a workout.
I hope you soon recover from that head cold. Thank you for your consideration to your viewers for turning the camera off when needed.
(It would be nice if another book tuber we know would take heed and do the same when their nose fails to cooperate while filming.🤔🤧)
Haha, yes, I didn't want to sneeze in your faces, seems common courtesy to me... And great that you will read along with some of our choices! ❤️
I just bought Hideous Kinky this year. I’ll endeavour to join you in April!
Wonderful!!
I have The Waves-might save it for your May read.
Yesss, please do!
I'm going to read the Princess of Cleves.😊 Maybe it will have humor like Moliere, does it? That house on the cover of the Eizabeth Bowen reminds me of one I saw in Scotland, which the story was it was allowed to go to ruin because something to do with taxes or too costly to replace the roof and supposed to have inspired Bram Stoker in some way.
I hope it will have humor but I'm not sure... And fascinating story about the house!!
It's good see May Sinclair on the list. Jorge Luis Borges wrote that her short story "Where Their Fire is not Quenched" was his favorite short story by anyone. He loved it so much he included it in a Fantasy anthology he co-edited with Adolfo Bioy Casares.
Oh, I had no idea! Fantastic!
It's a great story. On a book note I decided to start a book channel. I will continue reviewing comics under "gore vidal," but I will talk about books on LibroParadiso. I uploaded an introductory video tonight discussing the book that made me a reader. Best to you from Texas. @
Intriguing. I think I've read the Woolf and Bowen, and I've seen the 1998 film version of Hideous Kinky starring Kate Winslet. I enjoyed the film, so it may be fun to read the book!. I already have an ancient copy of The Real Charlotte on my shelf. Looks like I have some bookish research to do!
I have yet to see the film! And happy to hear you might be joining us for some of the books. ❤️
What a fantastic idea! 😄
Thank you! 😊
I hope you're feeling better. I just got over a cold. I would like to join, but I always have so many of my own books to read my collection
It was my third (!) cold this winter... 😡 And I feel you re having your own books to read!
@ that's terrible. I hope you don't get another one.
I hope we go on for more years ❤❤ so happy you are cohosting 😊 your sniffles. I hope they go away quickly!
I hope so too, many more years! ❤️
I am looking forward to reading several of these books along with you! But which ones to pick... 🤔
When in doubt, pick all of them! ❤️
I have such sympathy for you with the sniffles because my nose won’t stop running either! Exciting stuff you and Sandy are getting up to!
We are twins even with having a head cold! ❤️
This sounds interesting. I like the list of titles!
That's great to hear!
Omg, I want to join! Some of my favorite books are in the list.
Please do! ❤️
Very exciting news, I’m looking forward to joining you for Well of Loneliness, which was on a hopes for list this year, but I didn’t get to it so it’s perfect to catch up with you two and it.
Great that you will join us in March!
They’re quite a few on your list I own but haven’t read so I’ll be joining. Somerville wrote The Irish RM which is hilarious and was a tv series. I’m with you suffering from allergies. I’ve been crying all week.
Wonderful that you want to join, And boohoo to allergies (mine turned out to be a common cold...)
Looking forward to joining you for a book or two.
That is wonderful, thank you Lori! And happy reading in 2024!
I'll join you for some books.
Oh, wonderful! ❤️
You did an amazing job recording this video with the challenge of your mild cold. I could feel your suffering.
Look forward to the videos for each of these books throughout the year
Aww, thank you so much! ❤️
