it actually turned out to be super easy to make as long as you sacrifice your first 2 rounds to just rerolling (or 3 if you're unlucky) lol, tried it two times and both times went 2 losses and then 15 or 16 wins, although i went with the knuckle unique both times not the shaman to avoid rune draw L

An "elegant" nerf by me for this strategy would be to separate HP damage taken and Armor damage taken, and make it so damage reductions apply only to HP, while Armor keeps taking damage in full (unless explicitly specified otherwise). Sure, you can enjoy your however many seconds of invincibility, but afterwards - no Armor safeguard for you, take damage to the face in HP like a true berserker.
Sifd should do a build where he makes the hammer actually good

Seems like, in practice, you only need 3 armors and that 7 defense rune. Then you could go maybe shield of valor with banana+cheese on rage bag for survivability and a bunch of box of riches
Shaman mask is way better if you use gems as well. Those Buffs really stack up to something pretty op
It might just be confirmation bias but when sifd ran gems with shaman build he never got runes and same happened for me now that he’s doing no gems he’s getting runes maybe it was just coded weird and has been fixed but so far it seems no gems is how to get runes. they may have a chance to show up interference/override dunno 🤷♂️
@@Fubarpenguin If you have box of riches and the shaman mask in the back pack, it will only offer the gemstones. just take off the box of riches when rerolling and you should get runes, although they are legendary so low chance of getting them anyway

I'll agree that they really need to make the runes more plentiful. I did a run where I found *zero* runes for the ENTIRE run. Yeah, sure, they're legendary items, and they are quite powerful as is... But it feels really bad to not get ANYTHING from your subclass. Maybe even make the runes less powerful, but downgrade them to epics instead? I don't know.
actually yeah with that i agree, if they made them less powerful but downgraded rarity it would actually work better so you can actually get use out of your class not just sit on your shaman mask eating through your luck and that's it

You can achieve the same result with 4 armours and pick Chieftain. This with corrupted crystal is enough for killing any build with fatigue

You should try Eggscallibur with a bunch or cheese and blueberries. I saw another creator get over 1300 max hp with it lol. They used the deer mask subclass. Stack speed on eggscallibur, bunch of mana, profit.

the most basic one is the one that uses brass knuckles for the crit chance under the double axe and rubies / topaz for healing and stamina.
2 gem boxes early would have been better than the shaman mask. You always blow past the box of riches and it pays for itself with the free gems in no time
With the current meta, using shaman only allows others to steal your buffs away in the end. And since runes are very hard to come by it's not really worth it.
I would recommend using the brass knuckles instead. You can get a gembox for inserting into slots and especially yellows for stamina regen in inventory. I did a run with only 3 dragonskin armor, gem box, double axe, flute, 6 spiked collars, and got lucky to get 2 perfect stamina gems.

Buying coal could help if you are planning to buy the shaman mask anyway since at least it would give you luck, which would transform into another buff later on.
I did a similar build a couple days ago but with the stag for an additional %10 damage reduction so i had %105 with 5 armor and an additional 4.5 seconds of battle rage with a full stag. I ran it with just corrupted cristals for damage lol I was waiting to see you fight my build but sadly no
Sifd for the mask it says gemstones not runes specifically, runes are considered gemstones, but other gemstones works too
Start of battle gain one luck for each socketed gemstones
Then every 3s spend 2 luck get 5 buffs
So if all those armor and the axes filled with gems, it would hafe been 20 starting luck

With your 5 armor and 5 spike chockers

If you have mask and gemstone box at the same backpack you wouldn't have runes appearing on shops as it would be replaced by the gemstones. Current known bug

Genuinely kind of crazy that you're able to kill someone with _two_ revives like that. Really shows the difference in ramp abilities. Yeah scaling heat is decent but it doesn't compare to +3 dmg per attack and +6% speed per attack. That's actually wild. If you would have Invested in a few bananas or more wolpentiger's (lmao) then you could have absolutely destroyed people so fast. Maybe even before needing to activate your immunity and 3 bananas is pretty cheap tbh or another wolpentiger is decently cheap too, and worth it. You 100% should've invested in them earlier because you got such an early tim.

Just started watching. Fatigue might not be affected by damage reduction?
I think regular gems also count for the mask ability and they need to be socketted (so gembox and poissibly coal should have been good).
I think either 2 bananas and a glove (in stead of bunny and flute) or 3 flutes would have solved all of your stamina issues (obviously the flutes, the mask, the axe and the crown should have been in the bag in that case).
also 18:30 just browsing past the fact that you got 50 frost without even mentioning it. That build should be busted, but it is horrible rn..
Could you try to do a evil sword run maybe boosting It with flame swords?
the shaman mask could be like the mega clover, 2 runes spawn in bag
5 times the armor gives you 95% damage reduction, which means the opponent has to deal 20 damage in a single hit for you to lose 1 hp. The Badger Rune decreases damage taken by 7. So let´s do the math: the opponent has to deal enough damage in a single hit to be at 8 after damage reduction, which means 160. So in theory every Badger Rune increases the damage your opponent has to do with a single hit for you to lose at least 1 hp by 140. So yeah, 1 rune means the opponent needs to deal 160 damage in one hit, 2 Runes would have been 300, 3 runes 460 and so on.
Long story short: When is the last time you got hit for more than 160 Damage in a single hit? Even getting a single Badger Rune elevates this build to a whole new level. So yeah, the Mask with the runes was definitely the right choice here. But it would have been nice to get some more runes.
Edit: the Deerwood Guardian increases the duration for every nature item. If i´m correct there wasn´t even one in your whole build, so it would have had no effect. Also i´m not sure if the damage reduction works additive (so you would be at 105%) or multiplicative (which would leave you with 95,5%).

Not always. Takes up some room, still costs some gold and can kill you if the opponent has spikes or shields (since the dagger can lose you stamina by triggering the shield).
Hammer stiff messe your energy against shields - removing it is a good call

Typically, flat damage reduction in games is calculated after all percentages have been taken into effect.

Couldn’t you theoretically just run fatigue crystals with the helmet that increases damage immunity throw out all weapons and stay immune for as long as possible while fatigue kills them?

nah they should change it to 1s per.
The bigger problem is the multiplicative damage reduction. Being able to add up 15% damage reductions to be higher then 100% damage reduction shouldn't be a thing. There should be some kind of diminishing returns on that. Or... Maybe it should all be flat damage reductions, like reduce damage by 1 to 4 or something. That way, at least big hits could still do damage.
@@alexsawicki it's not that big of a problem when you already have things that made you fully immune to damage for a short amount of time. the problem is that you can extend the time you are immune to a ridiculous degree.
plus you would have to build into damage reduction like you've seen in the video which makes the damage reduction part pretty balanced.
@@h13n12 There are the other things that make you fully immune to damage... But, they're all very limited. You know the duration. They can only be triggered once per fight. The other immunities tend to consume other buffs as well. Compare that to battle rage: There's a LOT of other mechanics that build on battle rage. It's a core class mechanic. It shouldn't be able to make you fully immune to damage.
having damage reduction at 110% wouldn't mean that you take -10% damage therefore you heal for 10% of damage taken?
No, 0 damage is the least amount you can take, not some minus number. It makes sense to me that your armor wouldn't make getting hit with a weapon heal you.

great video , the '' quick math '' does hurt sometimes 200 - 95% is in fact not 14 but rather 10 damage - the 7 from the rune so 3 damage but its ok , math is hard
