- In this video I explain how my rabbits became free roamed. I go through all the bunny setups I've tried and explain how I progressively managed to convince my parents and brother to let my bunnies free roam the house. I explain a few issues such as owning rabbits when you live with your parents and some misinformation that is introduced when you're new to bunny care. Hope you guys learn that bunny care is a journey and we all progressively improve it to give our bunnies the best life possible xx

Society is conditioned to value some animals while ignoring the pain of others. People need educating and certain species just need a chance. My stepdad used to hunt rabbits, now he shares his home with a free range rabbit, so there's Hopewell! We all have one thing in common: we all want love!
How adorable, I can’t believe your stepdad did a full 360 haha I bet his bun is living such a happy wonderful life with him xx
Yay a new vid!! You’re my favourite small animals youtuber atm :)))) thanks for all the great advice and best personality! Love from NZ
Awh thank u so much 🥺 omg I was born in nz! xx
omg I saw one of your videos a while ago before having anithing to do with rabbits and then a few weeks ago I decided I wanted bunnies and I searched for your channel for so long AND FINALLY FOUND IT!!
I don't have bunnies yet, but I'm preparing for it!
Love your videos!
thank u hahaha I can't believe u found me again I'm so happy we've been reunited lmao, aaahh so excited for you to get your bunsss! xxxx
I've have around 6 rabbits throughout childhood. I recently took in a mom, dad, and last surviving baby (pedigree Holland lops) that are very tame and litter trained. Keeping these buns indoor with proper enrichment, food, care, etc. They are already spoiled but deserve it 🥹🥰
I have to keep my rabbit outside, and I am so happy that you said, I am not a bad rabbit owner, just because I can't have them inside right now. Thank you so much. Also, I just found your channel, and I am loving it!
I love how you said you can't have them inside 'right now', it just shows that sometimes we can't give our rabbits what we want to give them. You're doing your best and that's all that matters! xx
My parents let mine free roam in my room! My parent are the ones who bought all of his Toys and his food and water bowls! He Is a Holland lop and I have had him for about 3 months and he is so sweet! My mom loves him!
I Never owned a cage/hutch or never put him outside! I Am so lucky to have parents that Support me owning a bunny
That's so wonderful, your bun sounds like he's in good hands with you xx
Love your growth mindset with bunny care! Keep it up 💓
i love this, i just got my first rabbit and i swore to my family i would only have one ....... i pick my second bun up tomorrow :0 so excited but i feel you and how you just kept being constant lol
I'm bringing home a bunny tomorrow and the tone of your videos really put me at ease and make me feel less worried about it. Thank you!
How exciting! I'm glad you felt soothed by my tone haha xx
Keep making more videos! I’m tired of watching people with one bunny and make everything so aesthetic make videos 🙄 you’re videos are authentic and relatable 🥲💖💖
I’m in university and still living with my parents. I’ve begged to let my rabbits stay in my room but it’s been a no no. They live outside in their hutch and roam our backyard all day and I try to spend as much time with them as possible.
I definitely understand the struggle and hopefully when I move out I’ll free roam them 🥺🥺🥺
Yeah, Apollo can't even come inside on rainy or hot days and he won't buy his hay so I have to. Even when it's not his money he still gets mad.
Your bunnies are adorable
I have never been able to relate to a CZcamsr this much. I went from
Wire outside cage
Wire cage in garage
Stacking solid floor garage
Stacking cage in my room
First attempt at free roaming in my room but my parents stoped me shortly after
CNC grids
(I renovated that like a million times cause he kept escaping)
Second Attempt at Free roaming Failed (Pre neuter)
Back to a Single level Stacking cage with small fence surrounding it
Got Eden Neutered
Bought an Exercise pen
I learned Eden could jump 3 feet
Back to CNC grids
Litter habits improved and I am free roaming in my room again. So far so good! BTW this happened in a span of 1 1/2 years.
Do you want a backstory? Here you go if you do!
I used to breed rabbits in a not good setting to say the least (Typical Rabbit Breeder). My one rabbit had babies. She had 5. I walked in on her in the act of Killing them. She killed 2 and I saved the other 3. Everyone told me they were going to die. I wasn’t gonna just let that happen 🥺. So I did research and I syringe feed them since they were 2 hours old. They all survived! I have The other Two to loving pet homes (these bunnies were Super Special. I was planning on keeping all 3 but that would have been too much upkeep just starting out. So I kept Eden (Actually a boy surprise!) he is my Profile picture 💖🥰.
The babies were actually in my room from the start. They were born at the stage of “Stacking Cages in my room”.
Oh dang! I really appreciate you sharing your story, Eden sounds like he has a wonderful home with you! We really all go on a journey and if you really think about how many setups we've all been through it's quite a lot hahaha. We really do try our best for our buns and as we learn, our bunny care evolves too xx
So impressed by your glow up! And SO impressed that you have 3 rabbits living together in harmony! :D
Your situation with your brother is just like mine at the moment! He's not an animal lover and I pushed to have my babies indoors upstairs with me, and the carpet and wallpaper was a problem because they would love to chew them up, lots of damage to repair! Thankfully I cleaned up my garage with installation and lights and seating so I can spend time with them, so they live here 90% of the year untill it's to cold! Thanks for your tips and advice! From the UK x
Oh man haha it definitely is a struggle isn't it! Sound's like you're doing the absolute best for your buns, love it xx
Yeah me too. I only have 1 bunny and she is with me since she was 3 weeks old. I have no ideas when I get her and I am not aware she is gonna eat carpets, woods and pooping and peeing in the beginning. I trained her too how to litter. We proof everything in our house when I let her out her cage. When I am inside the house. And I bought a cage just enough to move jump a little. In beginning its none stop chewing, peeing, pooping in the corner of her favorite spot my family keep saying this is task in our house. I told them I cant send her back in the pet shop is to where I found her, and I cant throw her outside. I can try throw Chanel bag but not my Joey🐰 she makes me happy and smile everyday. Chanel stuffs will not me happy. So we done everything to avoid and stop a bit of trouble. Now everyone loves my Joey🐰. We even bring her to the place where pets is allowed. She went to restaurants, malls and we frequent do a picnic allowing her to run with soft comfortable harness vest and carrying her with adjustable back bag carrier.
Yes u are the top favorite on here that my bunny friends and I adore !! Keep up the great work
This was so interesting! Every single one of your bunny setups are amazing 🤩
I'm glad you think so haha thank you xx
I just loved this video the editing and the message awesome! Like you said rabbit care is a learning process that you have to experience yourself to be able to perfect it ☺️💫
I love your videos! I have one holland lop and after seeing your two play together I really want to get a second
That's so cute! yeah it really does hit different when you see how happy they are together xx
Your Bunnies are so cute
Omg this is great! Lol i could totally see myself doing this if I was in the same circumstances. I got my first bunny when I moved out and lived by myself and let him free roam. When my bf and i moved in together he was trying to be more strict with me about how to house my rabbit and even tried to suggest housing the rabbit outdoors on the balcony. He ended up seeing how cute my bunny is so we ended up free roaming still and in fact we just got a second bunny 😭
OMG thank you for the great advice up until now the only rabbit CZcamsr that I watch with Lorelei/Lennon the bunny she made me feel like I was a bad rabbit owner because my rabbits lived Outdoors they dont live in hutches they live in a big room outdoors with tile floor and carpet the only thing is that it doesn't have air conditioning so during the winter it gets cold and during summer gets hot
I housed my rabbit's outdoors for 3 years without any air conditioning or heating, she was always fine. You can buy heat pack things made specially for rabbits to put in sheds/hutches etc and giving them frozen water bottles to lay against and putting tiles in a shady area they can lay on will help a lot and grooming them more frequently too. Also water bowls over bottles will help keep them way more hydrated in summer
Also, as I'm sure you're aware, rabbits love being outside. It's their natural habitat so anyone who tells you it's abuse doesn't know what they're on about. As long as you predator proof and keep them warm/cool when needed it's the ideal environment for them
Absolutely! It definitely allows for a lot of their natural behaviours (digging, running, foraging). It's all about keeping the buns safe and happy xx you guys sound like you're doing a great job
I love that you do these videos its definitely very helpful and educational and I wish n hope others will start realizing the joy for the bunnies and the humans that free roaming them brings!its so good for them and u just have to spend the time they are super smart!!
I hope so too! Bunnies are so wonderful xxxx
i love this video! and the fact that u dont force everyone to free roam bunnies is just amazing. here we can't free roam my bunnies bc of my dogs they are just to rough with them.. they have their own room but i feel like it is still not big enough for them so we are gonna build a big pen outside so they can have double the space they have now. it is gonna be hard to not have them inside anymore but i feel like they are gonna be way happier outside where they can have more space so also more space to put stuff for them to play with.
Your videos are so helpful, the editing is 👌🏻 and you are so pretty!
I’m fighting for my rabbit to be brought indoors. We are having an extension so I’m getting a bigger room where I can house them properly. My bun is in a rabbit shed/ mansion it’s very big but it’s not enough as I’m not actually close to her. I did have two but earlier this year one died and now I’m a t a place where I’m looking to rescue so she has a partner and play mate and she has that socialisation
Nice
we can all agree her bunnies are cute and the editing iss *chefs kiss*
hahaha thank u so much, no YOU are *chefs kiss* xx
the most relatable video really
especially the “worried about them all the time” thing about them being outside
Hi from Australia!
Your bunnies are so adorable 😍!
Thank youuuu! haha xx
I love your bunnies! I have two holland lops ! Sometimes I watch your videos with them in their bunny room haha! I love your channel ❤️
Thank you so much! You buns are so lucky to have an entire room xx
Love your channel and buns 🐇🌼
this was an amazing vid! thanks!
Loved this video & seeing all your past rabbits😍 perspectives on rabbit care has definitely changed drastically over the past 10 years, it's becoming way more acceptable to house them inside. My family used to be the same when I first started keeping bunnies until they saw how cute they were & that they actually used the litter tray 😂
omg hi again hahaha! you know so much about rabbit care, your videos are so educational! But yes, views are definitely changing, go us for spreading the word about these beautiful creatures xx
Aww tysm😍 I love all your videos too, I wish I could talk as easily on camera as you though I'm still practicing on that front😂💖
@@captainjasperrabbit oh goodness no! haha i just cut out all my awkwardness in editing LOL
Aha I'm glad I'm not the only one😂💖
Hello , kisses from Spain , Thanks fot all i dont understand all but i LOVE It , i like it
I really enjoy your content 🖤
Thank u so much 🥺🥺
I know not every climate is suitable for it but rabbits love being outside. It's their natural habitat and they love it so much so if you're able to take them out on certain days, I guarantee they'll love it (especially if you have a grassy garden).
I totally agree with you! My buns love it outside, but australia has such harsh weather conditions so I prefer them inside 😅 and my apartment doesn’t have a yard for them to play xx totally agree that they love it though
@@Katesque oh I was in no way trying target you with my comment BTW, just for anyone who might read it. it's clear your rabbits are very happy and well cared for. I think both indoor and outdoor can work really well depending on a multidude of factors. Wherever the particular rabbits are happiest and safest is best in my eyes
@@XavierBodd Yes definitely! You're totally right, that's my motto too, as long as they're healthy and happy, it's where they're meant to be, outdoor and indoor are both wonderful places for them to be depending on the circumstances, thank you for clarifying though! xx
Wow, classic best video
Same here.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AAAWWW YOUR RABBIT ARE SO CUTE
THANK U ur the sweetest xx
@@Katesque NP 😊😊😊

Con cún nhìn dễ thương quá 🤩❤️
Omg I really like your Rabbitat set up, may I ask where did you get or bought the wood tray thingy you putted your rug on? I really liked it and I also want to put it in my rabbits play pen tysm! luv your vids sm
Remember me with my bunny and the hating cage problem? Now my female bunny starts biting the bars BUT when my brother is moving out in a few month they will have their own room so no more cage problem!!
Putting up cardboard on the cage could help because then they can chew the cardboard without hurting their teeth just until the cage is gone.
@@XavierBodd yeah for now they have these hay containers (I’m sorry I miss the word haha) on their biting spots so whenever they want to bite the bars they magically have hay in their move
But I definitely can try the cardboard!!
Their face is priceless I swear
The problem is just that my room is basically their room that’s no problem but for the night they have to get in the cage because my Male bunny always jumps on me or sleeps on me but then I can’t sleep
But I discovered some small wounds on both or their ears.
Seems like they start to bite each other in the cage sometimes (the cage is 2,10 m x 0.80 m x 0,50 m) so for the night it’s not really that small
I just don’t know how to get my sleep when they are free roaming in my room
So now I’m hoping my best that my brother finally moves out and they have their own room where the cage obviously won’t be a problem anymore because for the night I’m in my own room then.
So good that they won't need the cage soon though, so exciting! xx
Love this! I'm a new bun mum (got mine January) so still feel like I have loads to learn! That mansion was so cool! How did you build it? I have my buns indoor but I have to pen them while I work because they eat everything haha! I'd love to build them a multi story home they can have more fun spaces to play and relax!
stormy rabbits has good videos on how she build hers :) just make sure you are still giving them a good amount of floor space if you have any other questions lmk!
Thanks for replying! Yes stormy rabbits has a great bunny condo. I ziptied a bunch of grids and used wood in between for each level! A play pen works just fine too as a temporary area for them to stay in while you're at work xx
BUNNYYYYYYYYYYYY lol
This is unrelated but i love your earings lol
thank u so much hahaha xx
1.20 have the exact same carpet in my house, Lol
I was obsessed with that ikea rug haha xx
Kalagu mo ate😍
Thanks mom 😂
I am starting to free roam my rabbit just because we have no space for a large hutch inside our house and I dont want to keep her outdoors. Right now I keep her in the kitchen. She is still very young and once she is litter trained, she will hopefully be allowed to explore everywhere..
That's so wonderful! your lil baby bun will be so happy to be around you all the time xx
how did you make their little mansion ?? i have a bunny and i keep him in my room but i dont really have anything for him to climb on, so that would be perfect!
Where can you get the bunny hideaways the cardboard ..I only know of one site there always out?
Is there any places that you recommend to buy rabbit supplies. I can only find petco but they don’t have everything I need
you can get small sections of carpet fixed for cheap! there’s probably someone in your area that can do it so it doesn’t have to be so much of a future you problem!
Omg you’re a life saver I actually had no idea 🥺 that makes me feel so much better xx
Helloo, i love your videos i too am trying to convince my parents to have my rabbits in my room do you have any tips for keeping them in your room.
Maybe offer to pay for any damages if you're able to do that! Definitely bunny proof well and stay on top of cleaning so they have nothing to complain about haha xx
Our our rabbits are twins the white ones
Ur Gorgeous 😭😍
omg thank u haha xx
I have the same story
opft we've really been on a journey huh haha xx
@@Katesque yeah haha
Your rabbits are so damn cute.... can we have a rabbit play date... without our rabbits
Definitely 🌚
She’s taken bro
@@biscuitel6361 😂😂😂 crush the mans spirit
MAKE MORE VIDEOS!!!!!!!!!!!
Do they not jump over the pin? It looks so low
🥰❤👍🙏ok
You look absolutely gorgeous. Dream girl
What kind of rabbits do you have btw?
Another great video: D.
My rabbits live outside.
When I'm at home, the rabbits can run around in the garden.
At night they are in the enclosure. :)
How cute, they must love all the space to run around 😍 xx
@@Katesque They have only been allowed to do this for a few days, but they love it: D
My happy animals please make sure they are vaccinated bc even then they are susceptible to mosquito bites which kill them. Also ensure they are safe from cats, dogs, foxes etc as they are prey animals and they might not make it.
@@alikit8090 They haven't been vaccinated yet. At night they are in an enclosure protected from predators :)
I have one question where did you adopt or get your rabbits from? I would love to give one good care! It would be wonderful if you would tell me.
Hii! I bought my rabbits from Craigslist when I was still young and didn’t know anything about adopting, I personally would adopt now though from a rescue or a shelter xxx
Neh Neh you if you are in Australia you can adopt one from the RSPCA. Also in Victoria there is the rabbit orphanege (rescue) as well as freedom for farmed rabbits- a rescue. They come desexed and vaccinated and you give an abandoned or surrendered animal an opportunity to a forever home.
@@alikit8090 yes amazing advice, I totally agree with you xx thanks for being more specific
What breed are your rabbits? x
They are dwarf/mini lops! xx
What if your only 12 and you have Asian parents and they don't like my bunnies?
Ok I have 7 rabbits
Sounds like a wild time haha! xx
Hey I'm just letting you know that there's some rude links down here, if you could delete them Kat we'd really appreciate it :)
Thanks for letting me know I’ll try get rid of them xx
i do gotta say though, rabbits are definitely easier to take care of than dogs. dogs are like having children.
I totally agree haha they definitely are very needy xx
@@Katesque i can not handle taking care of a dog which is so sad... but i got my bunnies (even though they dont care about me lol ;-;)
i really love the vid! But please dont do something like "he looks dead lol", because my rabbit died in this position. When I found him, I first thought he was asleep, but he wasnt...
so please stop making "fun" of this position.
Thank you
Sorry, I won’t make fun of this again. My childhood rabbits died in this position also. Your bun must of had a wonderful happy life with you, he’s binkying in paradise now x
