FILM DESCRIPTION:
Covert government assassin Al Simmons (Michael Jai White) is killed after being double-crossed by his boss, Jason Wynn (Martin Sheen). Upon arriving in Hell, Simmons is offered an opportunity to return to Earth if he's willing to lead an evil army. He accepts, and is reincarnated as a "Hellspawn" -- a twisted, horribly disfigured version of his former self. However, Spawn serves as a force of good, much to the dismay of the Devil's henchman, a wicked clown (John Leguizamo).

No it might be nice with the way it would look. But they would ruin it like all remakes they make! Don’t ask for it! Make them come up with new fresh ideas on their own.

The CGI was ultra bad even then. But still, I loved it as a kid. :D
Some of it was really good for its time, but some of it was equally as bad too
The red flowing cape was probably the most expensive thing to animate in the movie
It’s similar to Dark hero the Guyver.

The glowing red eyes were a big giveaway.
How did they convince Martin Sheen to do this movie lol. The same guy that did Apocalypse now.
Jack Nicholson playing The Joker made it clear to the Hollywood elite that being in superhero/comic book movies was highly profitable. That and Sheen's son was a Spawn fan.
