Custom Fishing Modification on a Seadoo Spark

- I didn't realize how easy it would be to make a custom modification to allow me to fish on my jet ski all for under $100.

Nice set up. I built something similar for my sparktrixx using the link brackets. Works very well and I added a fish finder as well

Nice work. I just made something similar for my fzs. If you find yours busts any of those straps or pulls the screws out, I drilled through the hull seam bond rail and fastened an aluminum plate to anchor tie downs to.

Hey man nice build. Thinking about stealing this for my 2up haha. How’d you go about cutting the right angles on those support poles? Was it just test and adjust? Also do you think it’d support a heavier cooler? Thanks 🙏
Thanks man. I can’t remember the exact angles. But I built the legs using the T brackets to allow me to adjust the angles to the degree of the ski deck. Definitely is sturdy and could support a heavier cooler! Good luck
Sea-Doos are great they're fantastic the fish pro unlimited or limited whatever it is is a beautiful machine the GTX 300 is badass I mean those things for fishing they have the room everything but setting up a spark for fishing it just doesn't look comfortable or fun I mean sure he's probably a blast out on the water kicking but for fishing man that's going to be hard to do I guess
I agree. A spark is not ideal for fishing, but was a fun project to build and is useful if I don’t want to take a bigger boat out. Get to my spots a lot faster too!

I was glad it didnt fall off in the end, looks very unreliable to me, at lrast not for the ocean. Once my trixx arrives I will 3d model and share something more rigid, but one will need a 3d printer to make that. Cheers!

How did it hold up having anchor points being drilled into the deck? Would love to do this but a bit hesitant to drill into the deck. Great build tho!

How do you like the balance in the water? Is it to light that it moves a lot and it’s easier to fall in?
The balance is fine especially for it being a spark. I would definitely stay inshore fishing with it though

Cost around $50 and used stainless screws with all the water on it!
could add some side plates to mount rotopax gas tanks.

Sparks are the base models for Seadoo. They are great entry level skis regarding cost, but I would not buy one specifically for just fishing!

How hard is it to climb back on if u fall off?
Haven’t tried with it on. Probably couldn’t to be honest. I normally only keep the kit on if I’m fishing!
Yours didn't have the Lin q system like on most modern ones?
No the 2015 models didn’t have it
