- Hi, folks! Today we go over a few things relating to the planning and permitting of our custom processing plans.
We want to give a big huge thank you to all our backers and supporters so far! You all made this an amazing campaign. We are so thankful by the turnout and support for the project and we look forward to the next chapter in our journey.
We are still hoping to fully fund our project, so if you would like to contribute follow the link and put some delicious seafood in your freezer. Thanks!

The progress is outstanding! Awesome job you guys! ❤ and Incase anyone wants to know the fish we’ve purchased from you these past years has been bar-non the best there is. We’ve been so blessed to have found you guy’s!
Thank you Cindy and Dave. We love you both so much!
I am Japanese. I always look forward to watching it 😀 It's amazing how they can modify the ship themselves. If possible, could you please add Japanese subtitles to the video? I don't understand English😢Thank you in advance.
Guys, the boat is looking great! For those of us that have been following along, it’s good to see the fruits of your hard work and I look forward to seeing you out fishing with it. Thanks for the excellent update!! God bless.
You folks are bitting of a big chunk. We have processed for forty seven years. I know you have family experience along that line, but I pray there won’t be too many pot holes along the way. Start to finish on this is a lot more work, and in the end we find the only gain is the fact that when you sell you customers know the total history of the process.
Great things are coming your way, guys. Once again you are the bee's knees, just have fun out there and we will follow you on your quests, and we also will have fun coming along with you. Best regards from the North East Coast UK 🇬🇧 john.
Cheers John. We sure appreciate your support and kindness. Someday we will come visit your beautiful country!
Pity I’m in Scotland as I would love some of your products 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
You guys are amazing! I ask some questions about the water and waste processing and you throw the answers into a video the next day.
Awesome! Thank you! We will go into more details as we get there. Concerning blackwater discharges (I don't think we covered that) we are allowed to discharge untreated blackwater outside three miles. This is per USCG regulations. Treated blackwater can be discharged inside three miles. All of these are documented by time/ date and location in a logbook.
Deck looks awesome!!!! Everyone’s hard work to get to this point is going to pay back big time! I can’t wait to see it all working. Eric
Thank you Eric. It turned out great, hopefully it holds up well. Can't wait to have some fat slabs sliding across it!
I have the same chamber vacuum sealer that I shipped up to my friends place in SE Alaska. It's an awesome sealer!
Hi Kerry. We have been very happy with ours so far. Really seals good.
Thanks for a new video appreciate it as always.that looked like Cali that's a lot of boats.but I hope y'all had a great weekend and got to enjoy the inside lol with all of the rain it has doing same thing down here in the lower 48 we have had some really bad tornadoes and it has been so bad just hope y'all stay safe
You guys are doing great. The deck looks like you could play soccer on it. I can't wait to get some of your new product.
Thanks! We are so excited to get rolling on this.
Very excited to hear the processing plans. Sounds like in the short-term that the Halibut will remain harvested on the Fish Tale since it is currently associated with halibut quota/permit and the halibut must be returned to the harbor for inspection/shore processing. That allows the long line gear to remain on the Fish Tale and gives the Fish Tale and important reason to remain in the fleet.
Actually we will be harvesting halibut on both boats! Our personal quota will stay with the Fish Tale as it is "D Class" quota that can only be harvested on a vessel 35 foot in length or less. Then we have leased quota that will be harvested on the Emerald Isle. However, we will have to deliver all halibut to shoreside processing facilities as that is the delivery requirements for the halibut IFQ program.
Can’t wait to be on deck of the new boat when the first fish comes over the rail!
I know. Us too Michael! Halibut is first on the agenda for the Emerald Isle.
that floor looks amazing nice job!!
The completed deck looks great. I am glad the kickstarter project has gone well.
Thank you Phil. We sure appreciate your support on this project.
Well done guys 👏👏

Sounds great. Unfortunately I have never had any experience with the fish you have for sale so I have not bought any.
😊😊😊😊😊
great job on decking and overall refit when will be first trip cant wait silly question you catch quite a few skull fin can itnot be used as bait keep it going and all the best from the uk
Great news. How is the house going, the last time I remember is you were stripping it out
capt tim , are you now going to run both boats now? and will you be able to transfer the catch from one boat to the other?, also i wonder being a little more able to have the rains on the fishing and selling of your catch, no middle man so to speak , will we see price more reasonable then your other sellers ?
Good
👍
Great work guys and hope all goes well with the gov permits. Would like to see an update on the fuel and hydraulic tanks you repaired in that small area. How much more range will the Emerald Isle give you vs Fishtail?😊
We will get some footage of the engine room and tank repair soon. We have new fuel manifolds that need to go in and fuel lines, etc to get sorted out so some content there for ya. Range wise, Fish Tale packs 300 gal fuel, consumption at cruise (7.2- 7.5 kts) is about 1.8- 2 gal/ hr. Emerald Isle with current setup has 950 gallons fuel capacity as the starbord fuel tank is not in service. She burns about 5 gal/hr with genset. Cruise is probally similar to Fish Tale, 7 kts/ hr. Not really sure how accurate that is but we will get those numbers nailed down as we start to operate.
Looking forward to seeing you in the new season .
P.S. Is it possible for you to send fish to Denmark?
Greetings from Misery Bay
Greetings! I wish we could ship fish that far. That would be cool. Maybe if we get access to dry ice!
@@EISAlaska Thanks for your answer.
Yes that would be really nice, to have fresh fish from Alaska. Although we only live 1 mile from the North Sea, only a few fish are landed by local fishermen on the beach in the summer, but they are not worth eating because they are thin , its only the tourists who buy them.
Greetings from here
I’ve tried to add an additional buy on kickstarter, but it won’t allow me. Can you help me get that done? Frank Stewart
Hi Frank. You are so very kind! You could email me and we can try to figure it out. leonard@eisalaska.com
So what is the name of the company that has the refrigerator systems that y'all are going to get because if several of us messed them and asked them to sponsor maybe it would help and they will sponcer y'all with it and save on expenses for it and use the money on other things to get the boat out in the Sea and start making it pay for it's self
Aww, that is kind of you Scott. The companty is IMS, but i doubt they would go for that. There is probally a downturn in their business as their primary customers are fishermen and tender vessels. Our industry is suffering from market conditions and things are going to be tough for a lot of guys. Thankfully we are not tied to the commodity market like most of the fleet and we will weather this downturn better.
How much for the crab answer your text
Sorry. We don't have crab for sale. It is in-season locally only.
What a joke! You said in description somewhere the kickstarter will increase YOUR bottom line! Great, so yo want us to give you money so you can make more money (great concept)! Listen to Pink Floyd MONEY!
Sorry to offend you but you are missing the concept of a kickstarter campaign! Having the equiptment to freeze our catch onboard will increase our bottomline, not the kickstarter campaign. We have great rewards for our backers and are basically preselling our catch, something we regularly do. We are NOT asking for free money, if we wanted a handout we would have started a GoFundMe.
sorry i live so far away and unable to help, but I wish you all the luck from Ireland 👍
