- Comparison of different idles you can expect with different cams. 272’s may idle different with hydraulic lifters but I’m not sure on that. The car is bone stock in the fist clip and has a built motor with a ram horn manifold and a Precision 5558 in the other videos
Sounds cool but cams in a s13 sr are kinda pointless unless it was a drag car or a touring racer… because it already struggles with low-mid power delivery as a small displacement motor. While ironically having valve-train issues in the top end close to redline. It’s definitely a double, edge sword. Personally id run the 262, E85 on 1050cc EV12s and a GT30RS with 18lbs boost. This gives you the ability to run a shit ton of timing in the low end and make gobs of safe power throughout the band.
What no Kelford Cams comparison? Bummer! Awesome car
I see you have a TX plates. I’m in need of some help with going solid lifters on 272 cams. I’m in Waco.
Bro i have a question? With tomei pon cams 272 did you have problems of overheating? I have tomei 272 pon cams and my temperature goes up
Did you use the bc 264 and 272 with the precision turbo and what is the difference in boost?
sounds rad, what ramhorn manifold are you running? i love the “rotary-y” sound you get from ramhorn/equal length manifolds!
It’s an ISR top mount manifold. In my experience the sound is almost identical to the Mazworx ram horn manifold
@@JacobRyanFlores sick!! that’s the one i was looking at
Nice car, do you ever take it to any of the Boerne car shows?
I haven’t before but drop some dates/locations and I’ll be there!
Sounds great! How was the loss of low end torque with the 264s and 272s? I plan on putting 264s in my KA
264s open up the mid range a lot more without a noticeable drop in low end torque. 272s definitely sound cool, but those combined with my intake plenum took a lot out of the bottom end.
@@JacobRyanFlores thanks for your input. I am probably going to go with the 264s because at the end of the day my car is still a street car. Awesome car man keep up the content!
whats the benefit of using solid vs hydraulic lifters?
Solid lifters let you rev higher but you have to manually set the valve lash. You can’t rev as high with hydraulic lifters but they’re usually self lashing so they’re a lot simpler for everyday cars.
