I’ve been watching these videos nonstop, geez I miss this place! I was gonna go there in 2020 after going there a bunch of times in the past but couldn’t, this year I’m finally going back and I’m gonna ride hopefully every rollercoaster! But the monster kinda scares me lol
@@calan604 it is quite shocking how much they have removed in the past few years, especially so many classics just before the 50th anniversary. I saw they shared a story about how the Petunia Pig snack stand was based on a similar stand that inspired the creation of Adventureland…. And apparently they closed Petunia Pig, but did paint it gold and put up signs on it talking about its history.
Hawkeye 83 I believe that is in the 5 year plan. Every year they will add LED lights to there biggest and most noticeable attractions first but over time the will all have what you dream for! 😂😀😀😀
Skimad123 I guess I have to update this one. Mega LED lights were added to the Giant Sky Wheel in September 2016, and the program for Space Shot lights has evolved, as did The Monster.
Skimad123 I am waiting to hear back. The park isn't open late enough for the lights to be used yet, so if they did, it will still be awhile before anyone sees them. :) They did some cool things with the Giant Sky Wheel during off season. They had the Cubs logo on it, and turned it blue in support of local police, and a few other things.
Annika Bergeson They started staying open until 10pm in Saturdays a week or two ago. Later in the season it gets dark earlier, but right now it's barely dark at 9:30.
Can I just say that in this video, The only good thing about the Inverter is that is looks cool at night. Messed up Adventureland taking the Super Screamer out, you messed up big.
Skimad123 It's all about cost and profits. It cost them a lot more to bring in the Inverter so I am guessing ridership on Super Screamer was low, and cost of upkeep was higher than buying an expensive new ride. But it's clear that Inverter doesn't have much of a following. Perhaps it's just too hidden behind the trees, but I rarely see any kind of line for it compared to rides around it.
Allen Huffman yeah. I think it is just plain painful! In all of my 5 year plans that I have sort of come up with it is gone. They should get rid of it and put in a Intamin Megalite! Lol
I actually really like the Inverter. The harness presses pretty hard but otherwise I think it is pretty fun! I don't think Adventureland could afford an Intamin. Plus they are like B&M, they mostly work with large corporations that can pay lots of money.

Me too
It’s sad that most of these rides are gone now

adventureland needs to update more rides with led lights. then that place would look sick.

Allen Huffman yeah, I forgot to mention that. Did they upgrade the Monster's and the Spaceshot's this year again?

Allen Huffman oooooooh cool. I am super exited! Just got season tickets and we are going on Saturday!!
RIP inverter
Sadly it's hard to see the lights on like this because the park closes earlier than it used to be. (I can't remember the exact time)

Hey! You should do a newer A to Z of the rides video!
I will try to work on that this weekend.
There's two of them

Could I use some clips from this in a short film?
upperkace If you will give me credit, I will allow that, yes.
I could also get you clips without the watermark if yo let me know what you want to use.
@@allenhuffman Much appreciated! There are so many good shots here it's hard to narrow it down, haha
