Thank you for all the great carving ideas!!! It really is a pleasure to see your designs. I just had to sharpen my helvie knife on a ceramic stone for the first time, it has been dull and I wanted to get it back into shape. It really made me break into a nervous sweat, I kept thinking "I'll ruin the edge, I'll ruin the edge", but I had a pricision guide on the stone the whole time. Needless to say, I got it sharp again, but I still almost had a heart attack when it ALMOST slipped out of my hand and hit the cement😅, thank goodness it landed in the grass😂😂😂.

The knife you used in this carving looks like a Helvie. What style or name of handle is attached to the blade? I understand they have a number of different names and shaped handles. What size of gouges do you mostly use? Thanks again.
