- You won't believe who won. For FIVE MILLION, we had to do something big. So many of you have asked me to cook with Manny. So, I surprised him and cooked against him.

Not gonna lie, manny's attempt at cooking a full blown fillet mignon while having zero experience is pretty incredible. I guess from being nick's cameraman, he is also learning at least the basics.
no he isnt, he made sooo many basic mistakes. he forgot to peel the potatoes. he doesnt know how thick a filet should be even though he's eaten so many pieces of it. he burnt the shallots. he didnt boil the potatoes with a lid. he didnt boil them with enough water and until it was fork tender

I want to see this again, except without a given time. Nick is not only a professional chef, he also had to cook professionally for a given amount of time. Let Manny get comforable with cooking and just focus on the cooking skills of you, not rushing.

That crab looked so good, but so did Manny's steak.
I think Manny did an amazing job and especially for never having cooked before.
So proud of Manny for trying, and attempting to make the sauce again after breaking it.
If only he'd diced the potatoes to boil/steam them so they'd cook faster.
I'm sure I would have thoroughly enjoyed both plates, guys.
