  • Here are some of the prosthetic arm functions and gestures. I am using the Ossur Corp Touch Bionics iLimb Ultra and the arm was built by hanger clinic. Having a bionic arm takes a little getting used to because I've never had a prosthesis before but it is SWEET!

My great-great-uncle, Leo Beaudoin, lost a leg on the first assault at Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944. When he got back to the States he decided to put his engineering education to use and became a certified prosthesis to develop more comfortable prosthetic. He also worked on the team that started the process and engineering of robotic prosthetic. I bet my great-great-uncle would have loved to see this.

People at this stage are doing the F(**(**ng HARD WORK for people to come in the future.. and I hope yer man is FIRST in the Queue for New trials and upgrades....
I am made up that he has continued with this for so many years... it must be tempting to just F**K it off and go back to what he has used for his entire life successfully,
This is a strange kind of bravery..
very awkward and taxing work that I doubt many people would sympathise with.

Ok first of I am not being disrespectful or minimizing your situation when saying this, I totally understand having a fully functional limb is preferable. But dude, how badass is this!!! If I lost a limb I'd totally hope I could get something like this. You are totally paving the way when in the future people might elect to have a prosthetic versus organic because of the increased functionality. And that arm is totally badass and the fact that you can tweak it through an app on your phone is blowing my mind. Also I wouldn't be ashamed of this prosthetic or the looks, you look awesome, show it off my man, you look cool!

My wrist and thumb got smashed into each other 20 years ago and I STILL suffer with proper use of that limb.... it is SO hard to keep pushing for the 100% goal as once you hit 70-80% use, one tends to think.. that will do .. as every degree of movement thereafter is exponentially more agonizing aMORE hard work for every tiny gain...
BUT sometimes, when playing an instrument or climbing a cliff? (or more commonly) trying not to spill garlic mushroom sauce up muh sleeeve!!!!!!
Yeah, it is hard to push for that .... respect man.. KEEP PUSHING!
