- Here are some of the prosthetic arm functions and gestures. I am using the Ossur Corp Touch Bionics iLimb Ultra and the arm was built by hanger clinic. Having a bionic arm takes a little getting used to because I've never had a prosthesis before but it is SWEET!

All that functionality from the iphone app should be on a display on the forearm. That would be badass
Yeah I thinking that as well, if he would have a little display so he can do all kinds of gestures on the fly
And much more expensive to manufacture thus rendering the iphone app a much better idea.
that would add an extra large battery on that arm and, it would make it heAVY
Nikola Negic let these people dream 🤦🏾♂️

My great-great-uncle, Leo Beaudoin, lost a leg on the first assault at Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944. When he got back to the States he decided to put his engineering education to use and became a certified prosthesis to develop more comfortable prosthetic. He also worked on the team that started the process and engineering of robotic prosthetic. I bet my great-great-uncle would have loved to see this.

I’ve been sat here all night because I was bored on CZcams and one off your videos was on my feed so I clicked it because I seemed interested and I’ve been sat here for ages just watching your videos of you getting your prosthetic arm and when you showed your hand on CZcams for the first time and I was so inspired, so much respect for you keep going strong 💪 arm looks great man
Cain Fairburn I really appreciate it man!!!
Imagine this guy driving down the highway and flipping you off with his robotic arm 😆 brilliant! That’s seriously so cool
Hey Itz Blue I have 100% done that lol
Chris, incredible. I'm awe inspired. I lost my arm, (full elbow disarticulation after 19 surgeries and rhabdomyosis - read as, death of tissue that poisons the kidneys. After 5 wks in a coma), and I have struggled through tears and rage, grief and loss for my career and simply the ability to hug my children or my cat!
Do you experience much pain, discomfort, or skin irritation during, or after wearing the arm for a while? How long is your average wearing time in a day? I hope I'm not being insensitive-- just curious.
I like how he gave this comment a heart but didn’t respond to your questions

Awesome Chris! It’s amazing what technology can do for us isn’t it! Make life much easier for you. x
Does it though?
I get a different feeling.. just a feeling..
but.. gotta be IN IT TO WIN IT!.
People at this stage are doing the F(**(**ng HARD WORK for people to come in the future.. and I hope yer man is FIRST in the Queue for New trials and upgrades....
I am made up that he has continued with this for so many years... it must be tempting to just F**K it off and go back to what he has used for his entire life successfully,
This is a strange kind of bravery..
very awkward and taxing work that I doubt many people would sympathise with.
Omg this is sooooo cooool😭💗 few weeks ago I got a message back from my university that i got accepted in biomedical engineering and it has been a dream of mine to be an artificial limb engineer and I finally can pursue that dream by studying biomedical engineering 😭💗💗💗 i think artificial limbs are so interesting and I can’t stop watching videos about them😔💜
but can it run crysis?
*facepalm*
even better, can it run DOOM?
yes, in maximum ARMor mode
@@MrBaracu facepalm with bionic arm
People like you make my day
Ok first of I am not being disrespectful or minimizing your situation when saying this, I totally understand having a fully functional limb is preferable. But dude, how badass is this!!! If I lost a limb I'd totally hope I could get something like this. You are totally paving the way when in the future people might elect to have a prosthetic versus organic because of the increased functionality. And that arm is totally badass and the fact that you can tweak it through an app on your phone is blowing my mind. Also I wouldn't be ashamed of this prosthetic or the looks, you look awesome, show it off my man, you look cool!
Hi! I would be very happy if u notice my comment! I lost my hand 11 years ago, and i had many prothetic hands before. Now i have the same prothetic hand for training but In 2 Days i am going to get the finished one ☺️it is really helpfull for me and i hope for you too! Good luck and stay strong!
that's awesome man
Thank you for your honesty on how it makes people feel with the looks on the arm. My daughter lost her arm in an accident and she has a prosthetic arm that makes her feel comfortable and the looks matters. Have a blessed day. Great looking arm there and your personality makes you an Amazing young man👍💯
It is truly amazing how you have picked it up and pushed yourself to use that. You are a real example of why we should appreciate what we have. Keep it up!
I love the mechanics of how this works, this is the future. Thanks for sharing.
My wrist and thumb got smashed into each other 20 years ago and I STILL suffer with proper use of that limb.... it is SO hard to keep pushing for the 100% goal as once you hit 70-80% use, one tends to think.. that will do .. as every degree of movement thereafter is exponentially more agonizing aMORE hard work for every tiny gain...
BUT sometimes, when playing an instrument or climbing a cliff? (or more commonly) trying not to spill garlic mushroom sauce up muh sleeeve!!!!!!
Yeah, it is hard to push for that .... respect man.. KEEP PUSHING!
Technology sure has advanced, my father lost 1/2 a leg in ww2 and used a wooden leg ( that what he called it ) but it worked and he was able to do everything all the other Dads did. He had 9 children too😊😊😊

Your inner strength is amazing to see.
I love his attitude towards everything, seems like a happy person
"Limb differences" bro that's a nice way of putting it, you're a literal bionic man
This is so fucking cool. It's truly amazing how far we've come with prosthetics in the last decade.
Awesome! Hope it helps you a lot in your daily life! Cheers
so dope man , truly makes me appreciate my body even more! Loved the vid :)
WOW, that's astonishing and the people who made it. Nice! I'm SO happy for you.
Inspiring bro, I lost a hand recently and currently in the process of getting own bionic so watching your videos has been extremely helpful and interesting. I’m excited for the future.
So how is it lol
Hey Chris, just found this video and seeing the progression from figuring it out to using it with with better ease. So happy with how far you have gotten with using your prosthetic!
this is awesome man, it gives great insight into someone looking into this world. Don't stop
This is what the future is all about!!!

Metal gear solid V Big Boss's arm!! 🤩🤩 That's so freaking awesome!!
Awsome my man, loved it when you showed the custom controlling, when you just flipped us off haha :) keep it up lad.
Thats a badass looking arm
This is so cool, my passion is to become a prosthetesis, and work with awesome people like you. Watching this video I already have ideas and meathods on how to improve the hand.
It’s crazy how we now have face recognition, and finger print scanners on CELL PHONES but can’t create a fully functional prosthetic, that isn’t just for basic use or appearance. They’ll be even better when you can physically feel the prosthetic as yours. Great video, bud. 👍🏼
I think this is the first video I've seen with no dislikes with thousands of views :D
You talked a lot better Chris you seem happier I’m so glad for you
Wow I admire this guys enthusiasm
That is some cool , functional tech you have there . A follow up video after you have it for a while will also be cool. A bit Robo Cop as well . The comment about appearance is so insightful . BTW, It looks awesome ! Thanks for sharing this .

God bless you. U will for sure get it soon
I wish I could say the 1980s same for myself
what I meant to say was I wish I could say the same for myself
It's Amazing how technology has advanced over the years, I hope this new arm brings normality to your life.
Happy for you man! Glad you have good spirits!
Technology is only getting better! Another 10 years it's hard to tell what will happen.
5:57 I know what you use it for, when you are that good looking of a guy ;) haha. i hope you having a good day and awesome video sir :D.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA WHAT A GUY. I love it. Making fun of your own disability really make my day. I think your positive energy and how you look at solutions instead of predicaments is really inspiring to alot of people. To people who have the same or similar situation or just in general.
You are the kind of person who has a positive thought to everything. And nothing can stop you in your achievements. My compliments. Absolutely amazing. And your arm looks fucking awesome as hell whaha.
Technology is amazing glad you got the arm best wishes brutha
Jon Rogerson I appreciate that man 🦾
I feel like this kind of tech is gonna take another 50 years before we develop something that’s actually practical. At the very least 20 years....but I’m glad someone started the research and experiments. Maybe 2 or 3 generations down the line, they can really benefit from this research.
That is so cool! Technology has really gone above and beyond awesome! Glad you like it! Looks great!
I want one, I don’t have a missing or dissfunctional arm but it looks really cool and I could use it instead of having like a glove on a long sleep shirt or something
The middle finger is the only gesture I was looking for in all of the videos
Really great that there are inventions that help to master everyday life
That's so freaking Kool bro!!! Another awesome vid!!
Thank you for this post. It provides me with a lot of hope to see how much prosthetics are evolving. I've shared your vid on LinkedIn.
WOW that is really a cool hand, I love all the different movements it has👍
It's so amazing how far technology have come for people with disabilities
My respect to u Chris from India. U r my inspiration
This was really awesome. Think of where it will be in another few years!
The middle finger custom grip will definitely come in handy when your driving. They should make the custom grip app with voice command
About cracking an egg: its really easy to do one handed. One just holds one half of the egg with the thumb and the other half with the pinky, ring and middle finger. Even tho i am not disabled I am doing it this way since I was 10. Its as quick and every egg cracking feels like being a Master chef.
I am really thankful to you for your work for people who don't have limbs.
Actually, my father lost his hand from shoulder in a fatal accident last year. I just want to ask you that is this possible for my father to have bionic arm from shoulder?
Please help me.
Thank you
This is so cool I like to see what you can do with the arm
Don’t even know how I ended up here but this is incredible. Amazing content, thank you for sharing.
Chris thanks for sharing, and educating the rest of. Us. Technology is mind blowing.
Having great muscles help with the control of the hand. Good Job!!
Imagine in the future someone robs someone with a bionic arm and the person whips out his phone to the fighting grip

I’m sorry but the whirring is so fucking cool I love the way it sounds when it moves. The all black dope.
The bullet made my day. Excelent!
Wow. Man there only about 10 years away from a flesh colored prosthetic that's surgically attached that draws power from the brain itself. Fascinating.
I would love this for my daughter. She was born with one hand. We have tried a number of times to no avail. The cost is out of reach for regular working folks. Healthcare plan denies because of pre existing condition. Yeah , she was born this way.
Yay! Happy 4 U, today!
I feel bad for laughing but honestly the egg thing was adorable
This is so cool imagine in 50 years these prosthetics are gonna be like the ones in Star Wars

I would be using the middle finger one all the time at work (grocery store) and tell customers that my hand is messing up 😂😂
That’s badass. I wanna design prosthetics one day
The middle finger gets me every time ahah ahaha lmao 😂
i was just gonna say i hope its got a middle finger display:)... This is pretty cool man you're like the terminator now.... They should make it to where you can do voice commands i mean they do it with tvs and stuff now I'm sure it could work
This guy does what I would do if I had to get a prosthetic arm. Always the middle-finger. It'd be so cool to flip ppl off with an electrical arm.
That is incredible!! Did it take a lot of practice?! How long have you had it? You make it look so hot!!
It's good that everything is developing.
Ok you gotta admit with that arm you could make one dope ass Terminator costume
I love your robotic arm
This is great. I’m 100% happy for you.
Wow! getting closer. it'll be nice if they can add voice assist, since they have the name for each action, and can be international library for all other people just like sign language,
