Never diss Primark because they have some fabulous clothes. I’ve shopped in Marks & Spencer’s lots of times and they are very pricey except in the sales. Also Primark are the best when it comes to them making some of their clothes almost identical to high end designer copy’s. That’s what people want. Style and low prices.
The first dress is such a beauty, I love everything about it. It looks pretty on you. I would buy it and even make a pattern of it and sew myself another.

Brilliant Video Helen. Primark have also got some lovely Christmas decorations, some of which are dupes for some high end stores. Worth a look. I loved the shopping video you did last Christmas, think it was B&M or home bargains , I always get those two confused where you had bought some gifts for the children. Toys and games etc. Hopefully you will have time to do a similar one. Sincere condolences on the death of your uncle. Difficult time for the family especially your mum and well done to her , having her assessment. Takes a lot of courage to undertake something when the outcome can make such a difference to your independence. So delighted for her .
They announced a couple of weeks ago that there is a drug that considerably slows the rate at which it advances. Wish it had been around for my Mum. She was SO vibrant, fashionable & busy. Her self presentation was not right 6 months before she passed. She had to be taken into hospital after a night time fall around Halloween time. She did not recognise me 4 wks later & she passed 6 wks after that. He experience was extremely short but was therefore so horrendous. This was over 20yrs ago when there was minimal help for my Dad, & the family. I would not wish this on my enemy. I hate what it does. 😢

Absolutely love the pattern on that first dress - the colors are amazing.I think it would look wonderful with a belt, and then wouldn't pull when you sat down. Very expensive looking colors - not a fan of the skirt but love the shirt too, although the skirt will look wonderful with a plain top. Wish our Primark here in Massachusetts carried the same things as in the UK - I was in there yesterday and they didn't have any of these things. I do buy several things in Primark, their camisoles are amazing, their cotton rounds (or ovals!)and q-tips are such a bargain, their scarves, their men's hoodies and clothes for my grand-babies are wonderful. Love the black dress - perfect for a funeral. So sorry that your uncle died alone - my biggest fear. I actually attended a zoom funeral today for my sister in law in Edinburgh. What an incredible thing to be able to do this - I was definitely there in spirit, but felt I was actually there.

Always reminds me of a dear friend and neighbour, the same spirit and determination. There was 30 years between us but we were on the same wavelength right from the word go. She died at 99 and I learned so much from her. Sharp as a tack right to the end. I never go into Primark here in Belfast for the same reason as you. Customers are so careless, feel sorry for the staff. Really love your leather jacket. X

Really impressed with this Primark haul, that black dress looks fabulous, it doesn’t look like an inexpensive dress, and you look lovely in it, also I thought the skirt and blouse looked great with the jumpers over it, think I liked the black one best though. Good on your Mum for taking that driving test, she is one amazing lady, I’m 75 and not sure I’ll still want to drive for much longer, but we’ll see. I can tell from just listening to your Mum that she is still very much in control of every situation and she will cope very well. Love to you both xx
Loved the black dress at the end. I tried to get it when I went to Primark edit as I had seen it on Rosie Henshaw’s channel but they didn’t have any left in Manchester. Hi Helen, lovely amount raised by your coffee morning dementia is a terrible disease. The long sleeves on those tops from Primark I think is because youngest that I have seen have the sleeves right over their hands. The black dress is superb for the price. HB your mum is amazing and so forward thinking. My dad stopped at 92 he was a worry wouldn’t come out of second gear as a corner was coming soon!!I sold his car for him to a friend she is still driving it. Black dress looked good I have so many as play in an orchestra but I’m tempted. Always sales bargains for me. Sorry about your Uncle but at least he had a long life.my neighbour a really good friend passed at 98 a week before his 99th. Funeral was a real tribute. Hope yours is.xx

Hi Helen, I loved all items from the haul and I agree the black dress looked amazing. For the money amazing. It just shows you do not have to pay a fortune for clothing, depending on your budget of course. Sorry to hear about your uncle, always sad to hear about a bereavement. I did watch the cake making video, I loved the fact you were never phased by the enormity of the task. I would be so flustered haha. Great charity to raise funds, I think we all know someone that is suffering from the dreadful disease. Light at the end of tunnel…..FAB. Have a great weekend and look forward to the next one. Xx

My lovely sister in law has Dementia & her decline in 3 years is shocking to see.. Ive just donated as her daughter has just done the memory walk but well done on what you collected its amazing .. Its such a cruel disease x

Hi Helen, lovely amount raised by your coffee morning dementia is a terrible disease. The long sleeves on those tops from Primark I think is because youngest that I have seen have the sleeves right over their hands. The black dress is superb for the price. Sorry to hear about the death of your uncle. Your mum is certainly switched on good on her taking the senior assessment better to be safe than sorry.❤️❤️❤️

HB your mum is amazing and so forward thinking. My dad stopped at 92 he was a worry wouldn’t come out of second gear as a corner was coming soon!!I sold his car for him to a friend she is still driving it. Black dress looked good I have so many as play in an orchestra but I’m tempted. Always sales bargains for me. Sorry about your Uncle but at least he had a long life.my neighbour a really good friend passed at 98 a week before his 99th. Funeral was a real tribute. Hope yours is.xx

Loved the black dress very elegant and slimming on you , looked way more then £22 bargain for sure . Sad about your uncle. I read only the other day on Instagram 2 friends every morning send each other a text just with a smiling 😊 face on to each so they know each other is alive and kicking I thought what a good idea. We have a thing with my dad’s neighbour if his kitchen blind is not up by 10 am she’s to ring me or my brother. Congrats to your mum on passing her driving assessment. Xx
