I feel like BoC gave to electronic music some extreme maturity and poetry at the same time. The melodies are subtle, dense and universal, it's just perfect.

Sorry for your loss, my cat died too last week. She was faithful part of the family, when we walked out dogs she would come with us 3 miles round trip. I never knew of any cat that would walk with the family walking their dogs.

Olson always makes me think about when your little visiting the beach in winter you can feel the icy breeze on your skin the sun warming you up, you see the board walk all worn down but still painted white and you see a lighthouse on the other side of the beach on a cliff, you hear seagulls overhead and hear the soft sound of the tide coming in and out and the water lapping at the pylons. It just makes me feel so happy

Why is it, that listening to BOC everytime takes me back to my childhood in the early 70s?
This song makes me realize how the good days are over and gives me the overwhelming feeling is misery and sadness but in a way that is peaceful, like burying a loved one and crying but also coming to terms with it being their time to go. It makes me think of suicide as an option not because I hate my life, its because I love my life too much to see something bad happen to ruin it. I Love you Boards Of Canada.

This song feels really warm and uplifting, but still feels really sad. I would describe this song as a warm hug that won’t last forever, which is the barrier that is protecting you from everything around you (which would also fit nicely with the child-like themes in this album)

Why isn't this the type of thing portrayed as music in the world? Something with true emotion provoking capabilities? If this fell on the right ears, peace might be possible.
Because we live in an age of ignorance and hypocrisy, where money is more sought after than having fruitful relationships with the people you care about. Almost all human knowledge can be accessed by merely moving your fingers, yet people stay uneducated without a sense of curiosity. We'd rather go by our natural instinct to shun and demonize the outsider rather than realizing that at the end of the day that we're all humans and share the same problems.

When I heard «Ribs» by Lorde for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it. Not vocals, just instrumental. And I wanted to find anything with similar vibe. I found this... the only thing for such a long time. It's so short in original, but this is exactly what I needed.
