Step Inside This Totally Packed Abandoned Manor House in South Carolina built in 1870

- This historic old house was built in the late 1800’s around 1870-1880 for a modestly wealthy family who moved south after the civil war and made a small fortune from sharecropping. Buying up large amounts of land for cheap prices and then building this house in town. Mostly they farmed cotton and tobacco. The house features some beautiful Victorian details like the incredible staircase when you walk inside and the stunning hand carved fireplace mantles. Sadly the town’s wealth dipped in the early 1900’s and never fully recovered after the Great Depression, as many people were moving away from small cities and farming in search of better pay and better opportunities in a large city. The house was purchased by new owners who lived in the house until they passed away with no remaining family in the early 2000’s. Very sad but cool place. Thank you for watching! That porch is awesome. Definitely top 5! It was great to see no graffiti & nothing destroyed except by nature. Such a shame it wasn’t saved. Those beds were waterbeds. Must have leaked & made things worse. That Fischer Price clock toy was what I taught my kids to tell time on. A beautiful home with a porch of dreams. Take care Kappy. Another beauty bites the dust

It's truly heart-breaking to see beautiful historic homes such as this just falling to rot. This one is not yet beyond salvation, but it soon will be, and what a shame that would be.

A PS3 and a cat. Saw those cat things. ;) I love those wooden fireplace mantels. I hope that cat wasn't left behind or someone's pet. Just the fact you said you have cats makes me like you even more. I've had both pets, dogs and cat. I just prefer cats. All that stained glass. I wish I could pay to reclaim those.

Wasn't that long ago a family was doin well there . Sad to see everything left to the weather. What a place it was, served many families. The cat is cool, id feed it too, see if hungry. T&B 🤝

So many unique pieces of furniture. The mantel with the glass top was very nice. Beautiful cat looked like he was at home or maybe thought the owner came back to visit.

Odd that these folks pass away and their home and possessions are left in place and the house is abandoned to rot. You'd think they would have donated the home and their possessions to someone, a church or donated to an organization. Very strange to me.

Love this old house. I hope the family that lived there are okay. It feels like they had to leave rather than moved. And the beautiful kitty cat was so regal. He allowed you to look at his house. That stained glass is absolutely stunning!

What a beautiful pad. It breaks my heart seeing these old homes falling into disrepair. I'm actually surprised it has as many belongings in it, as it does. And the windows and staircases are still in one piece. Thankfully, the disgusting vandals and thieves have yet to take their anger and thievery out on it. I used to have a waterbed frame just like the one upstairs. They still sell waterbeds and they are really comfortable when you're younger. That is a good solid home to hold the weight of a queen size waterbed on the 2nd floor. Thanks, Kappy, for sharing these awesome pads with us. And for just being a kool dude. I think you were born many years too late. You would have fit right in in the Hippy era. Thanks for caring about the birds and animals you come across on your exploring ventures. :) You rock!!

It is a beautiful home ,too bad no one to take care of it, probably be torn down and housing development built,love the light in ceiling,the staircase is beautiful,lot of nice stuff left,lots of room in it ,seems like I watched another video you were going to get cat food,has it happened a lot exploring,there is some major damages,looks like kids been there or children,this was a great one ,have a good week

very handsome cat. Could be a decendant of the housecat from the owner when they were alive.
The last people who lived there just disappeared. They just left. Usually it means they died but this person had a little girl. This makes me sad that they disappeared.

Besides the kitchen and the room above the porch, the inside of the house definitely wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Hi Kappy, what a beautiful old house! I just loved the staircase, the front doorway, and the stained glass. It’s a shame that it probably won’t be around much longer with all the weather coming in. Interesting that the roof above the rounded room is squared out, I would have that it would be round as well. Sad that it has been left abandoned for this long though.
