Golden Sun TLA - The Golden Sun Rises

- This theme works incredibly well with the credits / ending sequence - the four lighthouse beacons coming together to form the Golden Sun while Alex climbs Mt. Aleph in order to obtain its power. A really epic finale to a brilliant RPG duo. Still, it constitutes only the first half of the ending. The second part is about the return to Vale, and this is why I have saved the main theme up until now. I have a pretty good idea of how to put together all its variations into one medley =) It will have to wait a few weeks though, as I don't have access to my gear right now. Stay tuned for the final piece!
The Golden Sun Rises...
That's the only soundtrack in the entire game that I have mixed feelings about. The sound is beautiful, and it's masterfully composed and played.
But the theme also makes me sad... It means that the greatest RPG adventure I've ever played in my life - and have been playing for eleven years - its story is over. The game has ended. And that really makes me sad... This game is so fantastic, I just wish it were even longer. It's already pretty long, but... I just wish it were even longer!
Your comment struck me because I feel totally the same. Even after 10 years this game remains my favorite of all time, the story, the characters, the music, the dialogues are all etched in my mind and heart. Countless time I dreamt of being an Adept called to save the world like they did. When this song started playing I couldn't believe it was getting to the end, I couldn't get enough of their adventures.
Too bad that Dark Dawn ruined pretty much everything, I didn't feel the same involvement as the first two games did to me.
I feel you bro... I will not leave this world before a proper sequel or remake
Being ten years old and finishing this game after what felt like years and hearing this was the most bittersweet feeling.
I remember I was shocked when this song came into play and the credits started rolling... The incredible adventure this game gave me was at its conclusion and as I continued to watch the ending, with the 4 lighthouses shining and giving form to the Golden Sun, my eyes were filled with tears. I still can't describe what feeling I was experiencing, but surely this song managed to get me into my soul and it still does today. Thank you for your beautiful renditions, this shows how this game was such a masterpiece to all of us and how much emotional impact had for us. Motoi Sakuraba would be proud of you.
"The music you can obtain on GBA is bad" they said ; "the GBA sound chip isn't up to the task to deliver a good sound rendition" they said.

I'm with you on that. That would be amazing. It would also revitalize the series and open it up to a new generation.
ValidusMos it has been said that a 4th part of Golden Sun might be released, if enough people are voting for it. So let's hope for the next Generation

When I heared this music out of your GBA after beating the game, I actually encountered a very touching mix of emotions...

The ending is perfect, cause it shows us all the Lighthouses and the lighthouse where the real Heroes from Golden Sun 1 Died, Sautros and Menardi (hopefully i spelled their names right)!!!

I am totally mindblown of how accurate the pan flute is, how long does it take you to figure it out? I guess it's based on the chord progression and such, but still.. great job as usual!
+Chris Lozano Yes, the chord progression provides a good starting point, but it takes a lot of focused listening in order to pin down the exact notes. If I can't hear a specific note I will just make an educated guess.

I thought so. I really like Fight Of Sons, Chaos Chimera Battle Theme, Champa Camp, Overworld, The Chaos Hound, Kolima (Cursed), The Apollo Lens, Tension, Blados & Chalis Boss Theme, Boss Battle 2, The Alchemy Dynamo, Peaceful Town, Sorrow, Goma Highlands, Belinsk Opera House, Set Sail! and Barai Temple/Craggy Peak. I think they would be good songs to be seen played

BloodRedox I guess I didn't notice. I played through the game once, got extremely bored in the later half of the game, decided to bum rush the rest of the game, didn't care about anything anymore, and never played it again after beating a pathetic excuse for a final boss. I'm sure the music was good, It just couldn't save that game
NONL0SER The only boss in DD that isn't pathetic is actually the final boss so I can't really take you serious now. It can even kill level 99 fully equipped warrior adepts easily and if you don't take the chance to level before it or use special tactics it's the most challenging boss in the game, way more than Dullahan. DD wasn't as good as the first games but it still had some really nice dungeons.
You got to my heart. (That was so gay, but I don't give a shit). I wish I could play half the way you do. I would like to do this song and others from the same game.
