As far as Higher goes, music and lyrics are two different things. Seams like the music itself was written out of improve and then the full lyrics came after. Which typically happens.
That is a reasonable explanation.
The only thing that matters is they are back. So many 90s guys died from drugs or suicide. These guys got so much public abuse. But they made it. I will always root for them.

This was my favorite band for a min back in 2000, it's such a shame that the perils of rock n roll broke them.

Tbh, I wouldnt have been happy if my friend and guitar player was going in the studio with his other band. I think more than anything Scott was hurt by that. Pissed off, angry, confused and whatever else... but deep down I think he was hurt by it. I would have felt the same.
I wish both interview were color graded the same way. :)

Creed - Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction? 18.4.24. the trend for horrendous lyrics, shlock for the sake of it, terrible monikers for bands and band personnel seems to have passed... If nought else, debate violence and irate reactions likewise... I was all for that train of thought if only to rattle the cages if the stifling hypocrites who feel Good about pointing shit out to alleged dumb fucks...my serious study, albeit ad hoc, of the crazy world of the media world and the malleable masses was summed up by the words: Victims family........a decent enough band...Andiamo.
