Tarantula caught in Infrared

While wrapping up an evening outing looking using the Infrared function on the vidcam along with some new IR floodlights, had the chance encounter with a local Tarantula species (Aphonopelma iodius) out on the hunt for ladies during their mating season. I've known then around the area as I always see Tarantula Hawks in the are looking for them. Happy to finally find one - this one 30 min after sundown, and a little closer than I should have been due to my floodlight not exactly covering the scene, but a cool encounter none-the-less.
