It's incredible how cheap some of these SouthEast Asian countries are. Like a part of me wants to just quit my job now and spend 2-3 years travelling in countries like Laos.
living in se-asia is a way for many americans and europeans to get debt free faster back home because its so cheap to live comfortable and safe.. Daily life incl rent Bangkok is about 65% cheaper than Ny for example..and even cheaper if u go all in and live like a thai =)
People in Laos en Thailand are the most friendely people on earth, but Thailand is more for tourists, because the infrasturcture and things to see is better than in Laos
Lao have been closed isolated and so poor that not many know about "thailands little brother" its still extremely poor but slowly open up for tourists mid 2010
@@journey_boundYT in many cases its like stepping in a tine machine over how thailand was 30 years ago..Yes lao people are wonderful and down to earth and the food is fantastic.. did drive motorcycle across 2017 and have visited the country manytimes..i hope they get more tourists for the economy

Agreed, if Laos had beaches it would be no.1

Laos looks incredible. How long can you stay on a tourist visa?
I think you can stay 3 months, I haven't looked int it long term. I'm sure there would be some options to stay longer. Have you been to Laos before ?
