LISTEN TO ME BECAUSE I SAY I WAS A VET IN COMBAT" shows you as someone not worth listening to. Try having a rational, adult discussion instead of beating your chest and trying to prove how inferior everyone else is. Most Vets I've had the pleasure of knowing don't pull the "I was a Vet. You know nothing" card like an SJW using the race card. And by the way - I believe the term you are looking for is "Straw man" argument, not "scarecrow." Considering that REB4 addressed the subject that was discussed in the video, i.e., pulling the pistol back after every shot and why that's not a good course of action, I would suggest you are, again, simply being belligerent. "You argue like a woman" isn't worth pointing out except to laugh at and show what an obvious buffoon you must be.

    I like this guy, everytime I called someone out, called an instructor out or asked questions it always devolved into a pissing match; "whats your combat experience, who do you train with, where did you deploy, what school did you go to, how far can you piss, how much can you bench, how far can you run". He hits everything on the button. Thanks Pat

    • @TheDoctor1225
      @TheDoctor1225 Před 3 lety +1

      It's sad how prevalent that is in so many other fields, too. I remember encountering that in EMS during my training as a CFR and then as an EMT. You could always tell the difference between people there to instruct and people there to show you that they knew everything, they were God, and if you questioned them, you could count on that same nonsense, starting with something snide like "Well, since I'VE been.....and YOU'RE just training..." You even see it in the comment section here, or in sections on other videos. Invariably, some "I'm Super Vet because I say so and you MUST listen to me!" comes along and that's how it all devolves as the pissing match begins.

Different situations are going to require different tactics. That's why there is a grid showing the questions related to whether the environment is friendly or hostile, permissive or nonpermissive, then more questions over whether the action is covert or clandestine and Pat knows better, but is giving just one corner of that in his videos.

    Totally agree. That drives me insane. I think it comes from comp shooters looking to see if they finished their targets in the specified time. People using you tube in place of experience have just copied the move and it just keeps getting passed from one you tube cowboy to the next and it wont die.

      +LAusmcprep I have no idea what competition shooters you have been watching, but little ol' me as just a B class flunkie in USPSA and an Expert in IDPA have never once ever glanced around at the end of a stage looking for more targets. 99.9% of the stages I shot there was no "par time" or fixed time that we had to complete the stage in. The timer is running as soon as it goes beep and doesn't stop until its microphone picks up the last shot fired.

    There's a guy at my local range that does this. I call him the search and assess douche, because he smirks when he looks side to side like he's trying to make sure and see if anyone thinks he looks cool. I asked him what he was looking for one day and got no reply. Just a frown. Personally I think it's better to look at what or where you'll be shooting.

    While he's got a point, I think we can expand the principle. Not only does the shooting community need to get a grip on the Range Theatrics, we could also do well to get a handle on all the beard theatrics we've got going on. McNamara, James "Clutchpro" Yeager, and Chris Costa all come to mind immediately.

    HILARIOUS! Thank You, I needed that. I had a party at my farm. Told all my work buddies to bring their firearms. Of course the "New" guy brought his Glock with the barrel compensation and red dot sight. A firearm he spent $1200 in mods. At this point he said he said he hadn't spent even a single mag of ammo through it. So about 7 of us line up at pistol distance. Myself firing my Beretta Cougar 8045F. As everyone started firing at their various targets, I received a shoulder tap to stop and see what "Kenny" was doing. Single shots, (Missed Shots) then superfluous head turning. I had to suppress my laughter and ask "Kenny" to hold his fire and remove himself from our firing position. As with his 5th or 6th miss, he negligent discharge from the "Compressed Ready" position angered me severely.
