I like how Mega went back to the old Warthog building design for this set because it is based on Halo Wars 1 which takes place ~30 years before the current events in the Halo universe. Also, I think the rescue part of the name is alluding to a scene in the first Halo Wars in which Professor Anders gets captured by Arbiter Ripa 'Moramee and Red Team pulls up and attempts to rescue her.
Adding Ripa in would have been so cool

Personally, I would add the fire markings on the warthog but add the gauss cannon to make it like a special warthog.

Good to see Jerome and the rest of his teammates, Douglas and Alice in action once again. I think it makes sense for them to not make a female torso for Alice, considering that the OG Mark IV (GEN1) Halo armor they’ve worn (also including Daisy, Margaret and Cal) doesn’t exactly make them quite as distinctive as it just made them all look like muscular chads in general, unlike Halo 4/5 and then Infinite which makes them look more streamlined and a lot more distinctive by their torso and their bottoms. The OG Halo 3 shotgun is finally fixed? Looks like I have good reasons not to reject it, and just by you giving it to Alice by the handle, just reminded me of them pumping the shotgun with one hand by using the inertia. And, sorry to see you got Douglas being messed up with his armor. His looks a lot worse than my silver Recruit’s back armor chipping off.
Seeing the UNSC Elephant is really cool, as well as seeing our beloved character Sgt. Johnson being the cupid for saying dee-vine intervention for the fellow Marines that were afraid of the Scarab. Other sets that I’d love to see being made, would have to be the SPARTAN-II Black Team, and an ODST Fireteam being led by Cal-141 during the events of Halo Legends: The Babysitter. Doesn’t hurt to try honoring the Spartans we’ve lost.
Black Team would be SUPER easy to make too

All Bungie style warthogs are 1 stud shorter than the 343 style warthogs because the 343 style warthogs use a specialized piece with the hand rails that stick out of the side

The reason it’s called “red team rescue” is from the scene in HW1 when the three of them in a hog try to rescue Anders and Forge from the arbiter

there actually is a female mark iv chestplate piece that's used for kelly and linda, but i do agree with the fact that alice doesnt really need one anyway

This set is so nostalgic! I remember when I was 7 I had the winter warthog but I sadly lost it while moving I think my parents put it in storage because I found it’s box in a box full of random things we threw out but I know no extra pieces were in there but I can’t wait to get this warthog!

I honestly cant wait to start getting my hands on some of these. I am so glad they got rid of the ugly chasis design from the previous bungie era hogs they made and the other little changes they did make the Warthog one of the best beaten only by the Attack Guasshog and HR Rockethog. I also love the look of Red Team in this set. The older ones looked weird with the marbeling they added to the armor and they lack the sweet looking extra prints on the helmet. Also, HOLY SHIT THEY FIXED THE H3 SHOTGUN! YES! Now I actually want to get more of it again!
The things I thin could have made this set better though is if they made this a 40 dollar set and gave us some figs to fight Red Team with like a couple purple PAINTED Hunters or a Elites and a couple Grunts. Also, I dont get why they are still doing the painted backgrounds except only putting them on the side of the box. Stop the stupid braey bunch shit by moving the stand alone pics of the figs to the sides of the box and put that detailed background on the front.
I think that adding in the Arbiter and Anders would have been a good move if they wanted to add figures

The new one is a M12LRV and the infinite one is the M12LRV-B the ones used by the spirit of fire is the covenant war error version the one that seen an infinite is the postwar version, which has had several upgrades and redesigns to its chasse
So this really is the older version of Hog
@@DemarcationMedia correct halo wars take place in 2531 and uses throughout all the bungee games the old version the M12LRV. the version you see in infinite was put into service shortly after the end of the human covenant war in 2552 not exactly sure when that a new design for the chasse which is the M12LRVB Which is the version we see in the 343 line of games even though in halo wars two, we see the spirit fire using the newer model throughout the entirety of the game. They should still be using the previous version up till they save Isabel and she introduces them to the newer UNSC equipment I can understand the confusion and also it used to confuse me as well. For example, the forward unto Dawn in halo four is completely different to what it is in halo three, even though in law, it is still the same class of ship it was in halo 3
It’s not talked about much never said exactly why they changed or anything in the book. I’ve currently been reading for the first time Halo envoy a group of Spartan‘s to have been in Cairo since before the peace treaty was signed, see the hog for the first time and are a little surprise, give it a quick inspection

@@DemarcationMedia yeah it was originally a target, only which really pissed me off when I had a new stickers. I really wanted to finally get a full red tea and a warthog looks amazing. I have the original written warthog from 09 which came with the covenant locus is never said they were in Team, but they’re meant to be right Team, because the hogs the same one used in the cut scene when they’re looking for answers on the shield world on the second mission with the flood when I had the news. This was finally available on Amazon UK for 22 to 27 quid. Can’t remember exactly how much I paid I got it almost instantly
That's not a bad price since $30 is the retail for it here in the US

Everyone says that this set is based on HW1 when they rescue Anders but I think it might be based of HW2 when they’re fresh out of cryo and investigate Isabel’s distress call. It would line up, they haven’t had time to upgrade their armor or Hog since they just woke up

I think that This form of Jerome is the better, This color is really good, and all red team is AWESOME, probably one of My favorites sets of all time!

About that "new" shotgun, it's actually been around for years and I've gotten plenty of sets and figures with it.
Yes a version has been around. However, as shown in the video, the version used for the new style figures was smaller and thinner. The old variant was HUGE.
@@DemarcationMedia There are 3 variants of the regular shotgun, the massive original one, the thin smaller one, and the updated smaller one that is able to have a figure grip the underside of it and is slightly larger than the previous one. That third version is not new for this set and has been around for a few years now as I only have two of this set yet I have nearly twenty of that shotgun.

@@DemarcationMedia I can't remember any sets specifically but over the last few years I've bought multiple lots of sets, figures, weapons, etc. on Ebay that have included the third version of the shotgun with the working grip.

Yeah it can still be found fairly easily in Walmarts for its retail of $30. Check the Facebook group and Discord servers to see if there's anyone with access to extras
This is a great set but I can't get hold of its not even on Amazon I think but still great set the figures are great the warhog is amazing and the second build! And one great thing is that you can get the design of the halo warhog run! But I wish they had made the seats better.

My only complaints are that there’s no printed Warthog front and top lights, the tires and windshield hold piece should be green, and most of the black parts of the hog and turret pieces should be green also

Luckily I found that 4mm diameter latex hoses work as replacements. They’re pretty cheap on Amazon

The “new” shotgun isn’t actually new. I have 3 of them from older sets. I’m not sure from where, however there was a big shotgun, a thin one, and this one which has been rereleased.

If I’m able to get this set I’m going to leave it in flame hog variant because the lack of printing for the hood details on the plain version is too plain. Although that is probably for piece reuse ability

thankfully not. It fixes the horrible chasis design and has a better looking interior.

I find it odd that the figure weren’t pre-assembled since that have been for the other sets.
It seems a bit inconsistent right now, because even some Scorpions have un-assembled figures
@@DemarcationMedia personally I like building figures. But my theory as to why they build them at factory level is to maybe fix potential quality control issues
Yeah I bought one the other day figures assembled. I like to build mine but feel with people built mc should be better
