Stupid Loud Focus ST 3in Catless Downpipe Install!!

- Today we installed a 3in Catless Downpipe on a Focus ST, was a lot easier than what was expected to tackle this. Here is a small list of everything you will need to complete this install:
Lift or jack and jack stands
3/8 Ratchet
17mm, 13mm and 10mm Sockets
T30 Torx Bit
12'' Extension
15mm, 13mm and 7/8 Wrench

change your axle seals, your transmission fluid is seeping out. do it NOW or you wont have a transmission very soon. love the sound. great vid.

Hell ya guys that sounds awesome! I made the mistake of Buying the cobb downpipe only to find out it doesnt pass emissions! So we are gutting it and slapping it back on

No downpipe will pass emissions unless you're tuned or have an o2 spacer

What all does he have done to that? It looked like it was building all the boost
cold air intake, blow off valve, cattless dp and full exhaust then a cobb access port with a stratifed tune

They say not street legal so what that mean with inspection etc
that they would sadly not pass an inspection
Would getting a re tune not fix this issue though? Heavily debating hiflow vs catless, literally about to order the part right now

thanks! its actually a stratifed pop tune that you can buy! and yeah you just switch maps

Yeah it did throw a code after driving a little bit, a tune fixed that though!

they are mapped but the downpipe and exhaust help add some more lol
What exhaust system is this? Does the check engine light come on without the cats
Brian M just put the O2 sensors on and you should be fine. Cobb accessport turns off check engine light too

Josh Harmon my car is straight piped from the cat back and it doesn’t crackle that much. I get a little when i’m coasting through a neighborhood in 2nd but other than that it doesn’t crackle much. The crackling comes usually from a tune and catless downpipe

This car crackles a lot because it has a Stratified pop tune which makes it crackle a lot like that! Straight pipe will sounds good with little crackle

If you want to be able to hear a turbo whistle when you start your car up then you're going to need a catless downpipe. My St sounded okay with a stock cat and a 3in exhaust but when I put a catless downpipe then you could hear a turbo whistle when I started the car up.
Let’s be honest. Nothing other then V8s sound good with loud exhaust. Shit sounded like a lawn mower on steroids.

This car had it installed already but if you go watch my parting out focus st video you can see how it would be installed!
It’s the easiest, and most painful mod to do on these cars, especially with jacks instead of a lift! Had a lot of *Fun* doing it was supposed to take 10 minutes took 35 and 25 minutes was getting the screws with enough lock tight to hold a roof on a house off then it was smooth sailing

The ST’s just get that stuff on the rear bumper idk why. I clean it everyday. The rest of the car stays clean it that area right under the license plate just get small dots all the time.
And it’s not from the tires cause he has more then I do and has flaps on his tears and I don’t have flaps at all.
Need to pressure wash that engine bay....😖
Yeah all of our cars could use a good engine bay cleaning, we just don't have anything worthy of showing so we don't wash them lol
Fair enough. Haha I’m very ocd when i clean my st.....i spend about 12-14 hours going over everything. Lmao only thing that sucks about having a black car is them being dirt magnets. 😂😅
