"The Struggle Ends When the Gratitude Begins"
| a quote Obstacle Course Racing Champion Amelia Boone leaned on when at the zenith of her endurance career in 2016, a stress fracture in her femur would sideline her for the next two years. Fast forward to February 3, 2018 as she toed the line of her first ultramarathon back at the Sean O'Brien 100K, Amelia reflects back on being injured and her newfound gratitude and perspective on running.

5:35 Money quote: "Racing is the celebration of all the training that you have been able to do!"
May be the most important quote I have ever heard
Thats the quote that got me also.
I love this, Billy. Please never stop making them. You're a huge part of our little corner of CZcams.
Thank you for capturing it beautifully, Billy! You are so incredible at your art!
Right back at you Amelia! Great working with you!
Hey you got so close to Mocko! I mean in the race - thats very good running.
Amelia, after watching this I felt how true all of your words were connected to how you really feel. Beautifully captured. Thanks so much for letting Billy share this with us.
Amelia Boone-Thank you. Your have inspiration me 🙏🏻
Amelia Boone - love your attitude to running. Spot on.
"racing is a celebration of all the training done"
my favorite quote from any runner so far!
Right? Great perspective.
Once again, Billy. You have a fan for life. Love that you’re getting support for your work. Couldn’t be more deserved.
This is what has brought me right back to my greatest love, running and the beauty of it.
Just what I needed after a weekend of training and a week of training ahead. I have realized that I love running for running and I rather train the rest of my life than race. Running is a beautiful thing.
Absolutely brilliant. It's crazy how much pressure we put on ourselves for a race (even us average runners do it). This is a good reminder to not let racing take the away from the joy of running. It's important to take a break and just run for the sake of running.
100%.
Just Another Runner I loved that bit too. That is going to be my focus from now on. The joy of running and the privilege of being able to.
"Racing is the celebration of the training that you've been able to do". What a great twist on how to approach race day. Really inspiring. Thank you, Amelia. And thank you, as always, Billy!
As always, inspirational, heart felt and a powerful story. Thanks Billy...keep up the amazing work.
Seeing the way the sport of ultra running is growing and not able to see Amelia Boone on the starting lines just pisses off, the energy she possess is just way out of the league. Queen of pain & wisdom. AMELIA BOONE THE LEGEND.!
Thanks Billy!! Another excellent capture of what it is to run!! Keep up the amazing films..
Ive always loved your videos and oh here is another great one. Thank you to Billy and to Amelia
9-10 months out with injury with a few set backs so far. Really keeps me motivated to come back. Absolutely for the training miles. Thanks for the inspiration
Thanks for the shots of Courtney too, she’s an inspiration and the reason I started running again. Great film Billy, watching them all and just totally amazed⛰!!!
Nice glimpse of the Sean O'Brien Course & I loved Amelia's narrative!
Beautiful piece! "Racing is the celebration of all the training that you have been able to do!"; that really hit home with me. Thank you for what you do Billy!
I love how you capture the person's heart and soul Billy! And Amelia, you said it best, naps are a waste of time! Even if you were only a child. Thank you both for being inspiring!
As always brilliant, elegant and inspiring!! Thanks so much Billy!
Excellent film..thank you Billy..
Always great films with heart & soul.
Billy, another amazing story smashed out of the park. The sound of the piano keys at the end just perfectly capture the feelings I felt watching this. Thanks!!

Billy Yang for the win! Always inspiring, appreciate what you do for the sport and for the superhumans you document (including yourself). Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Captured it beautifully. I love the story and all that she has learned. Hopefully we can all learn those lessons without going through the same. I appreciate the genuineness of this film
Aspiring to do an Ultra soon as I turn 55 in May. Great story to remind us of why we run! So well done!!!!!!!
Spectacular! Another awesome production with great content and a wonderful message. thanks!
Dang, I found myself getting emotional, there at the end. Thanks for this amazing video. It truly is for the love of running, and trying to be grateful for this experience we all call life.

This is so beautiful in every aspect. Love it.
Awesome video. I plan to watch this over and over. I to, love the training.
Great as usual Billy. TY.
Another great film from Billy Yang. Billy has a gift for finding messages that resonate and mixing those with beautiful videos. If I hadn't just gotten back and cleaned up from a hot, long run, I'd be out again running right now, for the love of running.
Well done Billy! I love these pieces.
You do great work Billy!!! Love your videos
Always exceptional. Thank you Billy.
Love these. Keep em coming Billy
"... It's just this moving meditation..." The most accurate description yet, on why a lot of us run.

THIS: "Racing is the celebration of all the training that you've been able to do." ... Fantastic story and work as always.
Awesome and inspiring video 👍! Broken and wounded but out the door I go! Thank you for the great video. And a push forward.
Amelia has a huge work ethic. I like her sense of humor, and I admire her mental health particularly with how she has come to terms with her two year injury as this video explains nicely. But it is her massive work ethic, and all that it costs her (effort, fatigue, privacy, sacrifice, loneliness, social life, pressure, expectations, courage - I cannot imagine), that is truly remarkable and always inspirational. Bravo Amelia.
Another great release by BY
This was great! I loved Mocko's cameo also!

Billy Yang - you're an absolute legend!
Great Video! All about enjoying the process.
Thank you, Amelia and Billy. I've been out of the game for 14 months due to an injury that doesn't seem to be going away and this has given me much needed faith in the process of healing. Indeed, the injury is a blessing in disguise. It forces us out of our comfort zone and makes us seek solutions.
It's a great reminder why we all run
Amazin and well-produced video.
