If you'd like to level up your video editing as fast as possible... I was told NOT to share this video with you, but here it is: czcams.com/video/6Q4UbmX4oyI/video.html
How much would you charge a person for a video edit
I personally charge based on the value I can provide to them, anywhere up to around $1,800 per video.
A business mentor said not to reveal the syllabus!
You can't beat a guy (or a girl) that just doesn't quit, has a positive attitude to taking on challenges and getting better. Spot.on. 💯
100%, it really stuck with me when I first heard it so thought I'd share. Thanks for watching!
Hi, where R u from jelena 🙃
mf really said "or a girl"
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my CZcams channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,222 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
That's great bro! It's easy to get bogged down with the numbers and say "it's not comparable with others" and such, but 1,000 people listening to what you have to say and your story is amazing bro.
Keep up the awesome work and I'm very glad I could serve as some inspiration.
@@sampdbiz Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my CZcams channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a CZcamsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this CZcams thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)
I appreciate that brother,
" I ain't better than anyone else but my old self." is incredibly powerful and very well said.
I've subscribed and am looking forward to seeing more content from you Nathan!
@@sampdbiz Thank you! I recently quit nursing as I hate it and it doesn’t make me fulfilled at all. Working in a very toxic environment isn’t worth sacrificing for. I then decided to slowly dig my way out. I am now an office manager in a clinic and do creative stuff via CZcams and freelancing. It’s still a corporate job but I’m happier than working as a Nurse. I like the people I work with and they treat me with respect and as a human-being. That’s what’s more important to me. Having a sense of purpose through creating online content I truly care about also helps a lot. My freelancing gigs also give me creative outlets. I like the variety of tasks of being a manager as well as it offers tons of creativity. This job also gives me more free time for myself and I can spend some time socializing with my loved ones and meeting new folks. I couldn’t have been much happier if I didn’t start taking actions to change my life.
Woke up at 4 in the morning, looked up one thing on the tablet and this video was over to the side. Clicked on it, and realized it was gold within minutes! I’m only fair vids and know I need this guys advice and if you are reading this, you do too. Don’t dismiss this if you want a life changing career and have the drive to give it a go. DO IT!
Let's do it bro, see you at the top!
underrated and valuable person making underrated and valuable content
Thank you, that's very kind of you!
Great video! This makes me think about how slow I was (and still am) to learn stuff while editing lol. One tip for ANYONE on ANY SOFTWARE is to not use any of the crazy or flashy transitions too much unless the purpose of your video is to show off the editing. This is a huge mistake that I made when I started editing in 2020 and looking at my old videos, I wish I could fix that mistake now.
Great tip! All we can do is improve with time and get better at our own pace :) Best of luck on your editing journey.
For me I’ve been using Final Cut Pro, and I wanted to see what you guys think of the strategy I’m using, It applies in both the way I film and edit but after completing a video I do a hard digest of what was done on it and see how it can be improved and changed for the next one, from lighting all the way to how the beginning of the video is edited to capture people into the content
I'll have to try out Final Cut Pro, I've been a Premiere Pro fanboy from day one of me starting!
This has got to be one of the most impactful videos I've ever watched, because it is speaking to me and my situation right now.
I've been trained as a salesperson, I understand marketing concepts at a very macro level, I love photography, and I want to learn video editing.
Now to combine all these skills into a coherent business that is something I enjoy doing, and can earn a living doing it.
Thank you for this video.
You got a subscriber from me.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate you watching and I'm glad you got some guidance from this. Let's speak more in my community, I see you just joined :)
Hi Sam!
Just found your channel, and i really enjoy your content and you as a person.

Hey man! Thank you for the kind words :) You can definitely achieve that goal if you set your mind to it from this day onwards with continual learning! 2025 is a LONG way away too bro, I have faith that you can do it even within this year with the right mindset, knowledge and implementation.

No problem! :)
Awesome video mate!
Cheers Andrei, thanks for watching 🙏🏼
I was just looking over your editors academy and want to recommend you highlight it is currently a 1 time purchase for lifetime access. I know you put that in FAQ, however, that is a very important aspect of people like me to look at your stuff. I had to search for it, which can deter some people. As it is good for answering the FAQ quickly and great for marketing, I highly suggest you put that in your description early on. I will be back soon to sign up for the course =)
Thank you for letting me know, I wasn't aware of that so I'll sort that today! Look forward to speaking more with you on the inside Chad! :)
Hey Sam, I've just gotten into video editing, i've bought a proper computer, but I am completely lost on where to get footage for practice. I've tried stock footage but every video is different and I can't seem to make it all connect properly. Do you have any recommendations on how to get raw footage files from a youtube video so that I can use it for practice and to just learn the creative side of video editing?
I started off with podcasts etc, you can also download CZcamsr’s footage who have very raw/unedited videos.
gold! deserve 1M (honestly)
Thank you, I appreciate that bro! :)
Sound advice 🎉thank you 😅
No problem! :)
Great value Bro
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Sam my bro you're amazing

No worries :)
@@sampdbiz it was really a good video
You are growing bro 💪
Putting a lot of work in so I hope so! Thank you very much for watching bro 💪
Hi I'm thinking of joining the course however I don't have adobe premier pro I only have the free version of davinci resolve I'm guessing I will be needing adobe for it
Phase 1 is Premiere Pro technical editing. Phase 2-5 is all how to go viral, the business behind editing etc. The full syllabus is on the website for you to work out if skipping Phase 1 will be worth it for you!
@@sampdbizthanks for the response do you have an email I can contact you for further details?
The full syllabus and info is on the website bro, www.sampdunn.com
Regarding each editors academy chapter, is there a typical range of how long each section is? Like the initial one for example?
There's around 2-3 hours of content and 5-6 hours of learning all together :)
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
I've just recently started my CZcams channel on video/photo editing. I'm sure you'll find my videos helpful, I would be happy if you check out the Nelytech channel! Thanks

Thank you very much, but i have a question, How can I download videos to edit like on 2:25 please answer
Hey man, I use CZcamsPi.com personally, or just add the letters "pi" after "CZcams" in the video's URL.
I've just recently started my CZcams channel on video/photo editing. I'm sure you'll find my videos helpful, I would be happy if you check out the Nelytech channel! Thanks!!!
But what if we want to use DaVinci...will the training be in premiere?

I'm 35 years old this year... And I really want to do something I enjoy as a job. Is it too late for me to go at video editing full time?
Not at all, it's never too late my friend! There's no reason with your life experience you can't excel in the space. Honestly go for it.
Great video
Thank you!
any advice on how to reach out to possible clients?
Got 2 videos about this on my channel!
Gonna make a big jump by the end of 2023 mark my words and stay tuned with me ....🔥🙌
Keep me posted bro, excited for you!
@@sampdbiz 🫂 okk buddy
It's almost the end, how you doing!?
Is this a good fit for me? I'm very interested in learning video editing -- retired and financially ok, so money isn't a primary motivation. I feel like this would be a fun hobby, plus, I have my own clips, that I'd like to upload and start my own channel, just so I can express my own creativity. Don't care about subs. It's more important to me, that I do my own thing and those who choose to follow along (or not) is secondary. Sure, I could easily find a use for an extra fifty or hundred grand annually -- but I prefer to move along at my own pace, rather than be forced to meet someone else's dead line. Essentially, I'd be starting from pretty much basic. ...where do I go from here? 🙂
Video editing is incredibly fun! There's lots of potential clients out there with loose deadlines, it's what I prefer too so there isn't too much unnecessary stress working for someone else's timetable. But yes video editing is very fulfilling because you can see your creative ideas come to life!
Thanks for the Shoutout its me Dhruv
No worries bro, it's well deserved!
Hey Sam, great video! I'm 18 and looking to make a career out of video editing. I'm a complete beginner right now. Would you recommend it?
Yessir there’s incredible amounts of opportunity and fulfilment if you spend even a few weeks mastering the skills needed!
@@sampdbiz I'm kind of getting discouraged by other CZcamsrs saying that video editing has become a very overcrowded field in the past few years and that there's less work and more people. So new people shouldn't opt for it. What's you point of view on that?
Video editing is saturated right at the bottom of the market. There's tons and tons of bad editors, it's extremely rare to find a good editor or www.ytjobs.co wouldn't exist and make tons of money!
Just saw your reply. Thank you so much for taking out the time to actually respond to the community. Definitely earned my subscription.
Guy pls I need help on how best to learn video editing am really passionate about this, I have tried several months trying to learn on my own but it’s really very difficult pls what should I do?
I have a program called Editors Academy that may be of interest to you, it’ll give you clarity and a direct roadmap to landing cool clients and winning with video editing.
I've just recently started my CZcams channel on video/photo editing. I'm sure you'll find my videos helpful, I would be happy if you check out the Nelytech channel! Thanks!!!
Hello Bro. Really loved your videos. I learned a lot from, so many valuable content. I am planning to buy the Editors Academy, do you currently have a coupon code for the course? maybe I could get a little discount
Hey bro, thank you for the kind words! I've just made you a sneaky COUPON code for the next 48 hours, it's: bladerrainz
Looking forward to seeing you on the inside bro! Thank you.
@@sampdbizThanks bro! I'm now in the editors academy
thankyou for the code bro
i have joined the academy too
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching!
@@sampdbiz Sure, since it's useful stuff. I am excited for your future videos. Please talk about your Editing Workflow and in detail if possible
just a queation i started editing a few weeks ago on capcut pc and im "decent" on it. i like the softwere and all but im still questioining if i should switch to either adobe or davinci. so to anyone who used them should i switch? and why?
Yes I would switch to Adobe Premiere Pro. From what I understand, CapCut is okay, but limited in what you can do. To become a capable video editor, and earn money from it, you want the industry leading, best tools at your disposal. I've found Adobe Premiere Pro to be exactly that, it's easy to pick up and you can execute pretty much anything you want to do on it. Adobe also has other tools like Photoshop and After Effects that seamlessly connect to it, to make everything easier!
Let me know if you have any questions bro, more than happy to offer guidance.
ty for responding and i decided for begining ill switch to probably davinci studio just to see how it is before spending money on a produckt i dont know much about
Sure bro, whatever works best for you! The main thing is getting started with it :)
@@sampdbiz true so far (mostly shorts/tik tok) im enjoying the journey of editing
@@jkhgjkhgjhguyufhjfuy I have DaVinci Studio and it's honestly amazing. They've been coming out with so many great updates. I still think AE is better for motion graphics and animations though.
Happy 2024 👍👍👍👍 Great video
Thanks for watching. Happy 2024!!
Have you edited Dylan page videos
No bro. Big respect for his work though!
Sam is the academy for beginners too?
Yes it's primarily targeted towards absolute beginners but it's for any level really.
I think I am passionate about research and want to help video essay channels and edit sections there.
Sounds like a solid niche, but I'd maybe niche it down even further if I were you! What type of video essay channels?

Why is Premiere Pro so expensive LOL
It’s $20 a month lol
