Who that's so stuff man. My editing programe only works on internet connection.. I just leave my phone one side and put it on silent and forget about it.
I so would do that but i use yt, envato elements and other online things which makes it hard.
Real asf, I have a terrible habit of editing while playing games LOL It genuinely makes me get way too uncomfortably close to deadlines but its fun
@TreviaFilmProductions I use microsof clip champ . It's an online only editing software but rhe free version is exalent. If you run windows I really recommend you check it out

Thank you Adam for the tips you shared. I have come to find them really helpful as a new video editor. I also will like to find out what you'll advise that a new editor should prioritize before I consider myself ready for the marketplace.
I’m glad to hear that! What I can advise is to keep your edits as simple as possible at the beginning and edit as much as you can, but remember to finish every project that you’re starting. Another words just proritize quantity instead of quality when you are starting out, because that way you can learn the most and see the fastest progress. After some time you will find your own workflow and editing will be less time consuming so remember to practice & be consistent.

I got rtx 3060 which is fine for me
I spend a lot of time editing my videos for my channel. There's times I have 3hrs of footage. I do a "speed edit" there I chop of about 50% of my footage then I watch it. Then I start hoping another 30 to 50% of it. Then I watch it agin and chop more dead parts of it. When I'm happy with it I start to do stuff like make sure the scenes are good like I'm frame. I add music to parts I want music. I add sound effect where i want if I want any. I add transitions if I want and need them. Text overlays where I want if I need. When I'm happy with it I export it. Then I will watchi it on 1 screan wile I'm back on editor on second screan doing voice over. Then I add voice over. Then I export again. At this time I'm left with 10 to 20min video in final cut. Sometimes just under 10 min. That included intro,outro and subscribe buttons I added wile doing the transmissions also.
3 hours of footage that's a lot, but it's good that you have your own workflow
@AdamSolodyna thanks I try my best and try new stuff when I can. Working hard on my channel to get monitized. Man I need that monetization so I can make some extra bucks a month. I need that.

hey how do you get your sfx, visuals and stuff, thats the only thing imm lacking, and i CANNOT find it out
I basically use plugins such as premiere composer or motion bro and here are a lot of sfx, transitions etc, but most animations i do on my own in after effects

I use to do music, but now I just use fl studio to record & mix the vocal for my videos
