Crazy how Hip-Hop culture went from what people called "a fad like disco music" to perhaps the most pronounced culture worldwide overall in about 40 years.
South Korea and Japan took hold of the B-Boy movement and never let go. Break dancing is HUGE over there.
So much of breakdancing was inspired by watching martial arts movies, so it was a way of reflecting a part of their culture back to them. Amazing!!

I love seeing the new things that get blended in to Hip Hop over time. I'm pretty sure the one guy's moves around 8:30 were at least inspired by Capoeira (dance fighting). So much talent!

great vid boys. if you want some more suggestions for dance battles, the best guy to ever do it in my humble opinion is Waydi. His summer dance forever battles are some of the most entertaining freestyles out there. Waydi vs Kefton (2015) and Waydi vs Ukay (2018) to name a few :) have a good one

Your insane, nobody was doing combos like this 30 years ago, breaking has done nothing but evolve since then and now they are some of the greatest athletes on the planet, literally nobody else can do what they do

This isn't your first reaction to breakdance? And no they are not ex gymnasts, most nearly all bboys learn all this from scratch, nothing to do with having a background in gymnastics, and to be fair the only move they really use a lot linked to gymnasts is flares and anybody can learn that, oh and in my opinion alot of the footwork combos they are doing are harder to do clean than the power moves, or the spinny stuff as you call it, for example spinning on your head is easy, the hard part is the patience and time it takes to learn it, learning complicated footwork combos is just as hard but in a different way, try it ha ha they are just that good that they make the footwork look easy, it's hard as hell.

Les Twins are widely considered 2 of the best performers and dancers in the World and Rubix who grew up dancing in their crew is right up their with them. Stage performance, judge demos, freestyles, and most of all their battles!!

Dude there’s no doubt this is crazy impressive but I don’t know a single club where this actually happens… like you have to have a specific group of friends to even have a place where breaking this out is a net social plus.
This would have been a planned event, inviting 'dueling' dance teams to come out and participate. Think of it as a contest with a winner at the end. This wasn't spontaneous.

I went to the gym all the time because every Tuesday and Friday I got to dunk on someone and chicks were into that… I’m sure chicks like this once they’re that good but there’s a whole lot of time spent sucking before you get good.
