Dave's tip is fantastic - helps you make gaskets simply and easily.
But it takes a gentle hand and NOT a big hammer.
I should have thought of it, but Dave beat me to it - by 35 years !

It's cool. Simple and inexpensive to make, and saves you from needing to have 3 sizes of ball peen hammer on hand.
