  • Welcome to "Moving to Atlanta: The Starter Kit For Future Residents," where we unpack everything you need to know about transitioning to life in this huge metropolitan area. If you're planning a move to Atlanta, this video is your essential guide, covering everything from neighborhood vibes and school insights to navigating those winding roads and prepping for Atlanta's unique weather. 🌆📦
Atlanta is not just a city; it's a collection of diverse neighborhoods and suburbs, each with its own character and charm. In this video, we explore the various facets of life Inside the Perimeter (ITP) and Outside the Perimeter (OTP), helping you pinpoint the perfect spot that resonates with your lifestyle.
    1. ITP vs. OTP Living: Atlanta's ITP is known for its city vibe, historic intersections, and bustling streets, offering a vibrant urban lifestyle. However, if wide-open spaces or active suburbs are more your style, the OTP areas provide a different kind of appeal. We'll help you understand the differences and how to choose your ideal Atlanta community.
    2. Focus on the Area, Not Just the Town: Atlanta and its suburbs are mosaic of unique neighborhoods. We advise you to focus on finding the right area that suits your needs, rather than just picking a city name. We'll guide you through this process, ensuring you find a place that feels like home.
    3. School Diversity: Atlanta’s school districts vary significantly in terms of quality and focus. We'll delve into how to research and choose schools that align with your family's educational goals, whether you're looking for top academic performance or a specific school ethos.
    4. Understanding Crime Statistics: Like any major city, Atlanta has its safer areas and those with higher crime rates. We provide insights into understanding these variations and choosing a neighborhood that aligns with your comfort level.
    5. Weather Preparedness: Get ready for Atlanta's humidity and pollen seasons. We'll talk about what to expect and how to comfortably adapt to the local climate, especially if you're coming from a drier or cooler region.
    6. Navigating Atlanta Roads: Atlanta's road layout can be challenging for newcomers. We'll offer tips on getting around the city's unique road network and prepare you for the infamous Peachtree Street confusion.
This video is more than just a guide; it's your first step in making a successful transition to Atlanta living. Whether you’re attracted to the heart of the city or the charm of its suburbs, we're here to help you navigate this exciting journey.

Great video, David. Can you do a video specifically for out of state buyers? Maybe talking about how far in advance to contact a realtor, how to plan, when to visit to see houses, etc. Would love to hear your tips since you work with many out of state buyers.

Thank you! Yes, I will start working on a “how to” video for out of state movers. That’s a great idea!

They’ve contributed positively to a lot of things, but Atlanta roads are not one of them then! 😁
