Yes! It was a game changer for me when I was training a lot. I was afraid of big muscles, but learned that it doesn’t happen overnight, especially as a woman. You have to train HARD and with an intention to get big if you are gonna get big. Upper body exercises changed the game; I got stronger and more toned so fast.

Just a note on dynamic warm ups- they really don’t need to be super complicated, just take the movements that you’re gonna do in your main workout and just like, do them with lighter weights.
Planning to barbell squat? Do some air squats and maybe a couple light sets to work up to the weight. Doing some cardio? Start with a light jog.
Warming up just means preparing the body for the loads it’s about to receive, no better way to do that than just do the exact thing you’re about to do!

I’m glad you made this Video, I kept focusing on my legs most especially my glutes cos my arms are big so I shy away from training my arms because I don’t want it to get any bigger. Appeal to authority much? When I was younger Louie Simmons, an American powerlifting coach and legend told me “don’t waste your time in school for exercise science” he said “even and especially the PhD level students are lost and confused”.
Instead he recommended just reading as many textbooks on various topics around training I could find. Boy was he right..
If you’re smart you can go through university websites and course catalogs and find what books they use for the various classes that make up a major.
I will always prefer the person who self studies with interest and passion over the student who is doing what the have to do for a piece of paper at the end of their schooling. I was a student long enough to know that when someone makes you do reading and assignments you’re heart is not in it the same as when you seek the info out on your own.

That can actually put strain on those parts of your body. When doing any weightlifting/training, we (women or anyone) need to lift in all muscle groups. You have to keep a balance. If you want strong glutes you need a strong core, for example. Some people, especially of they're overweight (me when I started) neglect their core because they figure they're not gonna have a 6 pack show through their tummy. But what happens is you develop back pain because your back muscles take over when working out or doing anything mundane, because your core is too weak. If you get back pain when you stand, walk, or do the dishes for too long... it's because you need to strengthen your core. Not for the looks, but for the balance. This is the same with any part of the body.
