I did that to my civic. I just found some really short pan head sheet metal screw that would fit the hole and added washers.

I wrapped my panels in space themed fabric. I also was reluctant to drill out the plastic rivets. So I used a flat trim tool to tuck the fabric into the crease. I know others have done this and someone mentioned the same in the comments. You have to be careful, though, as there are some tight curves that can leave creases. The process is similar to vinyl wrapping.
Make sure you have a thick and UV fade resistant fabric. I'd advise getting a spray on UV fabric guard and spray regularly. My fabric already faded and tore. I'm debating whether to do fabric again or paint. Either way, I'm planning to drill out the plastic rivets and use short bolts to reattach them.
Looks great! Man, I need to get a set of those map light door handles lol. I did my door panels a little differently. I didn't want to drill out those hex rivets, so I left the upper portion of the panel conected and used a trim tool to push the fabric into the seam between the upper and lower panel. It's probably not the best option, but it turned out well and if you dont want to drill your other panels it's an option. Are you on the del sol group Facebook group? I can show you what I'm talking about.
Shane Howell oh snap nice - exactly what I was looking to find out because I have my main door panels to do this on with some updated fabric and reallllllly didn’t want to drill those rivets out on the door panels I’m actually going to use
@@OldSols, word. I didn't take a ton of pictures, but look me up on the del sol group and I'll show ya what I did. Hopefully answer any questions. What really got me was the door jam side of the panel. I didn't cut the pattern quite right so it didn't turn out perfect. Passable though. All in all I'm quite pleased.
I carefully drilled them out in my 96 Civic then used a plastic welder to reattach
Use a heat gun and then pull up on the tab and then you use super glue or a sheet up some plastic wax and tap it in
can you drill out the plastic rivets and use a small screw to hold in place

So how did you attach the the top panel to the bottom? That’s why I watched for 22 minutes, I looked at those two other videos and they both didn’t show it either. Did you update your VTEC one? Show us on that one please.
So his panel is not going to hold up? I skimmed through the video and it looks like he did not secure both parts together.
