Reallifesoap Nice video Enrique. Keep it up!
Hahah, will do!
Glad to see more SW model vids! Looks good. I'll watch full video tonight.
Thank you, hope you enjoy it!
3:54 Had no idea you applied chipping fluid AFTER painting your second layer of basecolor (that tamiya yellow/tan), would have guessed you did on top of the metal coat. Glad I watched this video!
Yeah, that's my preferred method, to try and create more than one chipping layer. Hope you enjoyed the video!
Your tutorials are greats !
Thank you, Rapha, happy to be of service!
Great job! I loved the Cpl. Hicks quote.
Thanks a lot, Charles, and great to see another Aliens fan!
Really love your star wars tutorials. Keep the good work up!
Thank you very much!
Maybe the future of tank
Indeed!
This is fantastic work! I have enjoyed your weathering videos and have done tests for my future builds with your techniques, and I must say I've had fantastic results! Keep up the great work! BTW I joined your Patreon, I love supporting artists and builders who give so much back to our little community of scale modelers, let's go!!!
Thank you, Leo, means a lot coming from you - just subbed to your awesome channel! And of course thank you for your generous support!
Not a huge fan of star wars but still very interesting for the techniques, thanks!
Thanks, Rick, glad you liked it!
Hey tfrt,
Really nice tutorial for the Tank!
I painted my first like it, and a now startes painting my second one. But the xF 88 basecoat looks completely different then the first time, do you have any idea what the reason could be
Thank you, Fullmetal! Hard to say without pics or more details. Same thinner? Same primer? Same ratios?
@@TheRaceForTerra would you mind if i send you an comparsion photo? If no, where should i send it?
@@FullmetalTimo No problem, raceforterra@gmail.com
Which AK Real Colors Dunkelgelb did you use on this? Can you list the RC number? I’m trying to buy it but I see 4.
Hey, just checked - it was RC060.
Really a great paint job.
Looks really like in the movie. :)
But I probably won't use primers anymore, after that I have to disassemble my airbrush completely (Tamiya Liquid Primer and Laquer Thinner 1:1, plus some Tamiya Paint Retarder). If I only use the colors like the AT-ST, then it is completely sufficient to rinse with a cleaner.
I will soon also use the method for my Legion miniatures. Is there anything against it? Or is priming for miniatures better?
Best regards, Maximilian
Thanks a lot! Do you mean you had problems with Tamiya Surface Primer? Never ever used it, so I can't comment on that, but try AK Black Primer w/Microfiller if you really need a primer. For resin models, a strong primer is a must; for plastic you can get away without, as you can see me do with many Legion minis. In that case, though, I would recommend Tamiya XF + Lacquer thinner, which effectively turns the paint into a lacquer - very sticky.
@@TheRaceForTerra The problem was with cleaning. The primer could be sprayed very finely with 30 PSI and the 0.35 nozzle. But getting the leftovers from the IWATA was not fun. :)
But I also have the problem with the Vallejo Primer. I think the cann primer would also be enough for resin.
By the way: I had posted a link below your AT-ST video. It points to a picture of my finished AT-AT in my Nextcloud. Probably the comment ended up in the spam folder.
