- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1978 Ford F100. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
What a beautiful truck.
Love this truck! Beautiful inside and out. Well worth the 8 grand to buy it in my opinion. Kyle rocks as always! How can someone not like this truck?! Shoot...if I had the money, I would take this over a new one any day! The craftsmanship in the good old days were incredible.
perfect tunes to cruise around in that beauty
I used to play Jim Croce in my 78
Back when trucks were truly 100% American built and made 🇺🇸
They're starting to be built here again (finally)
Darth Gamer RIP the good ol days
Thankyou Trump! haha
Jordan Rosenberg - Yep! Let's see Hillary do that...
Darth Gamer ,Yup, They sure was man.
Nothing beats an obs ford. I have a 79 f150 and i love it
I love these "semi-classics" from the 70s and 80s.
I had a '78 Custom 150. One of the 2 best trucks I ever had (the other was a '72 Ranger XLT). My '78 had the 300 inline 6 with a 4 speed manual. Great fuel mileage and plenty pulling power. The ride was great and it handled well. These were great trucks.
That is a nice truck!!! I wish trucks still looked like this! I want one!
That’s a beautiful pickup for sure.
Thanks for sharing.
I am the biggest fan of all your videos.
Look at the valave covers and the thick timing chain cover and the water thermostat housing goes on the intake manifold. If it was a 351 modified or any style of a cleveland motor the thermostat housing would be mounted to the block. That truck definately has a 460 in it.
This truck looks awesome
Even though I'm a lifetime Chevy/GM fan, I absolutely love the '55/'56 Ford F1's and the shortbox Ford F-10's like this one!!! They have so much potential for an extremely badass pro-touring/resto-mod build. However, the one in this video doesn't need anything and I would keep it exactly how it is. The only thing I'd do is maybe switch out the wheels/rims for a set of Forgeline's or Budnik's.
My son owns a body shop in Pampa Texas and he is totally restoring a '78 with about 80,000 miles on it! He had a very powerful '78 with a 460, this new one will be its' twin! Cragars and all!
got to love them old ford pickups
Man this is a beautiful Ford truck, i miss how cars, and trucks used to be, Always sounded mean, built strong, durable, never torqued, or bent, Good old American Craftsmanship! She also sounds damn Good.
My dad used to have one of those. It was a good old truck!
What a beauty. I almost bought a 79' from my friends dad, but I found my Dodge just before. Still wouldnt min owning one! Thanks for the upload!
I like how the inside of this truck is bright red
I wonder if that 351 Windsor is original to that truck. Whoever did the restoration did a nice job! My grandpa and my dad both had one of these!
Classic Ford Truck
Beautiful American made truck. This thing is beautiful. I have a 2015 F-350 SuperDuty but I really would love to get my hands on one of these babies. I mean it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True me too nowdays is plastic and tranny issue
I'm trying to convince my parents to buy me one from the neighbor
I love old cars and trucks like this. this is a beautifull Machine.
do more vids on old cars and trucks like this
Pink Floyd FTW.
I liked David glimour songs from Pink Floyd
Emmet Brown great song
@@_thebusphotograher_cali Don't tell Roger Waters that
Very nice truck. Only thing I dont like in the old trucks is the red shaggy seats lol
its the 80s LOL
I am not a FORD fan at all..but you gotta love a nicely redone truck...
Ford Built Badass
I think it’s a 79 because 78s have round head lights and 79s have square headlights like this one
Jose Saenz The 1978 custom is the only trim that had round headlights. All other trims in 1978 had square headlights. 1979 had square headlights on all trim levels.
Yeah I got this same model and year. My uncle is giving it to me. It does indeed have square headlights. Gonna see if I can get mine back on the road. Mines a project truck. It mainly just needs a transmission, everything else is looking alright on mine and see if the engine will turn over.
Feb 20 2018 i own this truck have been for the last 5yrs+ drove it to work today actually
Congrats that's a beautiful truck! Wish I had seen this video 5 yrs ago lol
man that is a beautiful truck. Love the old trucks.
I just picked a 59 f100 last week cant wait to restore it
This truck is almost the Twin to my 79 F100. My has a 3 speed on the Column. 302 cubic inch under the hood. Looks just mine except for the side chrome. My is plain red with all the new chrome on the front and back . My Grand sons love riding around in the back like we did back in the old days. Makes a great fishing buggy.
Truly a beast of a vehicle
Nice truck and I like the beautiful color
Now that is what Quality is all about! Both truck and video!
Sure is one nice little truck! Thanks alot for the great tour onces again :)
Sound is heartwarming
I love the Ford f100 custom.
If this is a '78, it is a Ranger since it has rectangular headlights. '78 Customs still had round headlights.
Oh, it says Custom on the glove box. Then this has to be a '79 since rectangular headlights were standard on all F-Series pickups and Broncos by then, unless this was a restored '78 with aftermarket headlights.
Do a 1979 Bronco review.
I love how wish you were here was playing on the radio
Do it. Not many F100s are around and if you restore this one you talk about, it'll be amazing to see for most people
wish this was mine
My friend had a blue 77, his brother had a red 77, their friend had a green 79!
They sold them a long time ago.
Reminds me of that Merle Haggard song when the Ford and the Chevy could last 10 years still could still would.
This is a sunny weekend truck right here
They don’t make trucks like that anymore. A true America classic
worst part of the video is when he shut it off
um ok?
yeah, no kidding
+Th3Sabator45 why?
mine will never run that good
Mr. Joy Europe 16 I request you go back to English class
Beautiful Truck ... i like the exterior aluminum bright work trim ... Red with the red interior is nice ... i prefer color interior over black interior ... color interior brings out the details of the interior ... thanks for sharing
Nice! My neighbor has one of these, except its a manual transmission, but I want to buy his! Thanks Kyle!
Beautiful!!!!!
8 grand. Christ. Those were the good ole days
even got the stock radio in it i see
I don't think a uganda knuckles fan has any room to call anybody autistic
I think I can considering I have a 4.5 GPA
Not Lucas I don't
Such a fine truck.
Today I made a best move this month. I subscribed to you. I am so happy that i subscribed you :))))))
Beautiful truck very nicely done
That's a classic back woods truck. Play some Alabama boys mountain music.
Amen brother
I just got one like that today STRAIT6 4wd blue and black inside love ever bit of it
@saabkyle04 Thanks for the video Kyle. This gives me inspiration again to restore my Dad's two tone silver/burgundy '78 F-100 Ranger with a 302. It was going to be my first vehicle but we never got around to fixing it and had been sitting for so long so I don't even know if it will still crank with the old fluids but structurally nearly the whole vehicle is in good shape. Keep bringing in the good finds.
Pink Floyd and Jefferson Starship in that pickup just reeks of the 70's
Haha love the matching wunderbaum :D Really nice truck!
Now that’s a truck I would drive everywhere
I like the trim that goes all the way around
Super nice piece I agree with some of the lower comments in regards to using a black interior style and of they could of used the original wheel style that would of been terrific . A beautiful show car indeed I'll take two...
Good taste in radio stations
some 15x10 rims would look amazing in this truxk
Hi saabkyle! Could you make a video of a more recent version of the ford crown victoria?
nice..love the 6th generation f-series, and my favorite vehicleis 1973-1975.
Very nice truck
Gosh this guy has a great taste in music. Gotta love Pink Floyd!
Most Beautiful Trucks is the LATE 78 to 79 F-serious trucks i LOVE THEM
Nice truck my dad just bought one but its a 1979 ford f100 ranger and he wants to paint it the exact same color and the funny thing is that he went to Raleigh, NC to buy it and your all the way in Reidsville, NC and he went from Norwalk,CT to Raleigh, NC
i like the fact that it had almost no oil pressure then went to nothing at the end of the video. it looked like the engine temp was preety warm for a just start and only idle a few mins.
Marvelous FE!!!
I'm almost positive that's a 1979 with the square headlights, I have a 1978 and it's the round lights
I have a 78 it has square 1978 was a split year for the grill design they are interchangeable.
The horsepower specification is right. It looks like the motor has been rebuilt and they really didnt have much power back then. Even a 1978 mustang GT only had 139hp and today a GT has well over 400 hp. Automotive engineering has come a long way
daaaang all red inside and out looks sharp
I have a 79 in Good Shape with 157,000 plus and I get about 10 mpg on a good day. But it runs pretty good. Being that he is in another state other than California. He get to add a few things here and there that will help mpg. But I doubt that he will ever get better than say 14 to 15. But what a nice truck. If it all metal like mine. Then it's is worth it. He never said I don't think what the price of the truck was.
This thing is awesome
luv your vids keep it up
My grandpa has a 1978 f100 custom original maroon paint lifted new holly carb with the rare 351 Cleveland engine its number 2 of old cars i sat in my number 1 is a 1970s Datsun 240z with a Chevy small block
Love that truck!!!
That's a nice truck
My god what a beautiful thing
Very nice, thanks Kyle
This is the ultimate grandpa truck
My dad had one of these in his youth.
Late '78 with '79 headlights.
late 78's had the same headlight style as the 79's JTLYK
Man that is a pretty truck...
@The1FastGP thats an awesome idea, it will be a slow but sure process because my funds are not prime for a quick restore but from the looks of it. the exterior will be the biggest part of the it because mechanically, the truck is very good besides the carb
I wish mine was in that good of shape.
beautifull truck !
@mudboggin178 I know but its a brand new radio in a truck from the 70's. Put a defective oem one where the new one is and hide the new one in the glove box so it looks stock
clean truck
Looks like a 1975-1991 Ford Econoline instrumental panel dashboard :)
loved it thank you
Tachometers were optional instead of an standard equipment like today trucks.
Back when trucks were super simple
@saabkyle04 8K is a excelent car for this beautifull F100!
I want to see your new Ford Fairlane, kyle. Please do a long testdrive.
btw it would be nice if you could show the street a little more, not only the steering wheel.
gotto love those old american cars!
@ford1979truck well under the hood you can tell its aftermarket parts and it had a custom exhaust with no cats .
and if the guy who owned it before rebuilt the motor wich he more then likly did he probly swaped out the piston and rings.
