m8 what you took out was the dart tooth, it's not useless it just makes it so you don't have to put the dart all the way in the barrel before completing the prime. Here's a tip, hasbro doesn't waste plastic, if its not a lock then it is there for a reason
Useful video. There are not that man out there on the Ionfire. I was able to get the air restrictors out. I used a drill to get the center out then a Dremel to take off nearly all the tabs. Hand to do this twice since there are 2 separate levels at the back of the barrel. worked great though.

you can put it in a maverick but you would need to use epoxy pudy.
I already modified my ionfire. And I'm gonna saw off the top rail to make it more streamline.
