    November, 2020. I spent two nights at Chitake before heading to the banks of the Zambezi. At Chitake, we watched a pride of lions gather around an elephant carcass. A glorious time in northern Zimbabwe.

    Absolutely brilliant filming of the Beef - a - loes. Sadly the Lie- ons did not wish to make an appearance. Probably too well fed and having afternoon siestas. Lovely sunset under the Boabab tree. Perfect setting for a Amarula with eish !! A flat battery and a flat tyre can lead to a flat holiday. One must learn to overcome these minor obstacles.😀

    Not only entertaining for the wildlife, but the comedy as well. Lol! I certainly wouldn't be lazing around on the river bank with all those prey species around (including the humans) and lions somewhere about.

    Buffaloes, baobabs, birds and baboons plus lions and so much more. Spectacular photography, editing and music choices. And longer, too! It's a great start to the year. Thank you both for a wonderful episode. I can't wait for more. During that buffalo sequence I kept hoping the lions wouldn't take advantage of all that dust. I was glad they didn't! I hope you got water and fixed the tire in the next episode!

    Magnificent "beef" capture with all the dust kicking up almost oscuring the herd from view [nerve wracking moments with kitties potentially licking their lips!] And in spite of their bulk, quite a few noticeable ribs showing - perhaps Leo noticed and decided ribs were NOT on the menu?? Completely appreciate the crack-of-dawn efforts, exhausting but wow - amazing footage James. Now for a *double cold one*

    I watched it yesterday then rewatched it with my mum later. Just brilliant photography. The buffaloes through the dust was magnificent!!! Loved Barry the Biker Baboon. Also mum kept cracking up with all the jokes. Looking forward to the next episodes!!!

    Loving you films James. Not only informative but portrayed in a good lighthearted manner - very often these types of youtube films are "stilted". I am heading out to SA in the next couple of months to retire and really looking forward to travelling around Southern Africa and visiting some of the wonderful sights that you have shown on your films. Can I kindly ask what set up you are using for your videos? I like the look of your rig - and although heavy looking - looks pretty flexible. Keep the films coming please.

    Legend has it that on a clear and quiet day, just before daybreak, if you listen hard enough, you can still hear James inflating the left rear tyre on the cruiser.

    Fantastic episode. The shots of the buffalo herd in the dust are beautiful. I've been to Mana quite a few times but never to Chitake. Do you need to walk to get the low angle shots of the spring or can you set up near the vehicle?

      Thanks Rob! You would love Chitake. You can sit by your vehicle on top of the bank but we just found going lower down was the best for filming.

      @@JamesHendry yeah, most of the videos I've seen from Chitake are from the top of the bank which is not a great angle.
